Looking at opposition supporters on bigfooty I've never seen so many collective sheep in my life (With very few exceptions).

    This is like witchburning.

That site is disgraceful sometimes. Most of the time, actually.

Fair to say I'll be avoiding any of the threads on that cesspool of a website in regards to this topic.

Don't worry about the COLA guys! The two AFL teams in Sydney will never be allowed to fail by the AFL. They are like the big banks - too important to fail strategically for the AFL. If both clubs are unsuccessful over the next 5 years, then inducements like the COLA will flow back in! If both teams are successful, then we won't worry about what is being taken away!

The Western Bulldogs, Melbourne and North Melbourne will fail before the AFL gives a victory to the NRL in Sydney.

The Federal Government will let Qantas fail three times over before the AFL lets a team in a Sydney fail.

Bring out the champaign Sydney Fans!

BTW in outer regions generally a mortgage represents 30% min of ones income

inner city regions it can be up to 50%

therefore that is an allowance of approx 8% thru to 13.5% depending where you live and the reality is that most Swans players live in areas which is closer to the 13.5%

Imagine if the AFL has so much hard evidence supporting a higher then 9% COLA that a new COLA actually went higher then 9%

            one word.....

            PRICELESS !!!

Whilst much of all the arguments about cost of living in different cities is undeniable facts, many of the youngsters do not have to buy/rent accommodation as soon as they arrive in Sydney.
Most, if not all of them share places with team mates. The more senior guys then buy property once they have been in the game a while.
Very few are left to there own devices as most of us would be if we shifted cities.

I am sure they still have to pay rent, even if they are sharing with others!

I used to think it was just 12 year olds trolling on being one eyed on Bigfooty until i actually talked to 30 year olds at footy games who acted and said the same things you hear on Bigfooty. It was at that point where Bigfooty to me accurately represented the football community. Its a disgusting site with a lot of stupid people who cannot separate their confirmation bias when it comes to facts. You have collingwood people defending say a darren millane yet throwing vile insults at lesser players from other clubs who have barely done anything that matches what millane did. The same happens with other players.

I understand the passion and the whole thing about being a one eyed supporter but even on neutral topics you still get people who just attack attack attack a club/player for no reason and then spread lies to the point others start to believe them. And the bastardy is way too much on that site.

I love how in Sydney we follow sport, the game is over and we get on with life. I didnt like the 24/7 365 days a year aspect of footy in melbourne. Was fun for a season or two but then having to listen to morons parrot the rubbish that the herald sun writes is way to much and why i hate victorians. Sheep the lot of them.

Spiffy, What happens on SEN is over time certain people (characters) call in and the station will give them preference over other callers. So if Trout from Woodend calls in (Richmond Cheers Squad) he has a hotline number he uses and gets on immediately. David Schwarz got stung by a bloke from Eltham who became a regular. Schwarz apparently befrended the bloke who it appears was a bit of conman and "viola". When the same people get on it becomes rather boring. Mario is on almost every day on the run home and purports to be from the remand centre. He is probably someone from the station. Schwarz and Harford went in hard yesterday on The COLA and of course got the flogs ringing in. A Swans supporter rang to give his point of view and got only a very short time. They do this to get the callers and the ratings. They are only there to feed the appetite of Melbourne based supporters. Rarely do they talk about the millions that have been poured into North, Melbourne and the tenants at Ethihad Stadium.

And more....when Rex Hunt was calling on 3AW, the after the game antics only had people who were genuine dills to make it funny. I always thought it was a take off the Coodabeens and were their own people "ringing in". No one could be that stupid.

Is it the same notorious North supporting mario from BF? The guy has been behind bars and is a massive moron on BF. He hates the swans. I stopped listen to SEN a fair few years ago due to a) lots of ads b) Mark Fine c) biased sensationalist rubbish. Basically the herald sun on air.

If media outlets like SEN like to promote their station as being the home of football then they should expand their topics and not just cater for Melbourne based die hards. Thats the thing, they want the code to be national, even international BUT remaining strictly for victorians and the rest of us should just shut up and be happy that we even have a team to support. In all my years following different codes this mindset has been the most bizarre. So its australias game that is owned by victorians?

Gee Nico, you really had me puzzled here. I thought it was another viola joke, like Q.What's the difference between a seamstress and a violist? A. The seamstress tucks up the frills and the violist ...
                              Then the penny dropped. Voila!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
