Mike Pyke isn't long back from injury and is behind in fitness.
If he plays without significant ruck support, he'll be at a much higher risk of injury.
Don't fancy our final four chances playing two ruckmen with no senior Swans experience even for only a few weeks.Comment

Interesting comment from Kennedy during his presser. He said he'd love to be a Swan for the rest of his career if we'll have him.
Sensed it was very genuine.Comment

My main change for this game is out with the wet weather and in with the dry. I get very nervous when the boys play in the wet. Contrary to the expert commentators we have not been wet weather specialist since the retirements of Jude Bolton and Brett Kirk.Comment

No offence NSW but how about helping the Swans out with some dry weather. So we can try and be competitive.

OK, so ignore the fact the bloke had a seizure with unknown causes and/or had quad tightness (reported at the time - might have been a cover for the seizure that has now been reported). Let's just flog the bloke until he drops. After all, being in peak condition in the middle of March is far more important than being in peak condition in September.
While they are at it, I can't understand why Tippett and Goodes aren't being flogged on the track too. Who do they think they are? And as for Alex Johnson...He thinks he can have two whole years off work just because his knee is a little sore?Comment

You can also add the fact that we have never played on the Adelaide oval and won't know how to play it. Knowing your footy ground is really important and gives them a distinct advantage because all of their players would at some time or other spent time playing on the Adelaide oval. The SANFL still play there and most Crows players come through the SANFL.Comment

Buddy was ready to take the field and do some damage in the first NAB. He needed the run I think yet we held him back until the second NAB. Buddy had a seizure and from all the evidence he had them at Hawks as well and virtually trained right afterward after seeing the Doc. If he has Hypoglycaemia, Epilepsy, Diabetes, the major causes of seizures I am sure he has been diagnosed and the medical staff are aware of the condition. If it were anything worse like a brain tumour it would already have been investigated. As to the quad it was a two week strain and he was well recovered by the time the preseason matches started but was still on low fitness regime.Comment
