Maybe its because Shaw is a seasoned club leader and Cunningham is a young player who was playing perhaps his 9th game?

The headlines today will be Buddy and Parker, and rightly so.

The best bit today though was seeing bits of the machine crank up - Smith screwing down Betts, LRT doing his thing, Kennedy having real effect, Jack's second half, Grundy in defence.

      Bit by bit ...

Like wot somebody said "It's deja-vu .....all over again".

The raw stats do not seem to show we hammered them , so I will watch with interest to find out how we did it.
        Straight kicking?
I was on the 'plane so did not see it live , but I will watch the replay in the morning.

Cunningham impressed me in patches last week , so delighted he bagged three goals today.
A bit early to say after nine games ,I suppose , but I wonder if we have a future "Bloods Culture" champion?

A nice day out at the new Adelaide Oval.

Best thing was that instead of caving in the last quarter we went up another gear, admittedly with an assist from the Crows' lame efforts.

Amazing stat to win win 10 goals with five fewer inside-50s.

Lots of goals for the highlight reel. Great marks and goals from Jack, McVeigh, Laidler pushing forward. CUnningham's finish from Jetta's run down the wing. BUddy and Rohan goals on the run. Parker's snaps. LRT's left-foot snap!

Now that was a lot, papering over a few cracks in terms of some of the old boys still struggling, but even they started to have an impact in the end.

Fabulous game from Buddy and Parker of course but great to see Kizza come good in the second half. Such an important player for us. Can't wait to be back on the SCG next week.

Not a lot of love here for Josh Kennedy. I thought he was back to his brilliant best today.

Lol @ the posts during game time. Some people seriously should stay away from the keyboard during games.

I'll need to watch the replay to see why Derrickx was getting maligned for today. I thought he was terrific, some of his work off the ball was great and he was more than a handy backup. I think most are forgetting that's only his 4th game of senior football.

Agree with the Shaw bollocking tho, gee he appeared to improve little from his Barry last week. Mal also had a turnover fest, but we know that is not necessarily par for the course and just one of those days.

An enjoyable day and great fun giving the hordes of Crow fans a sendoff as they began to depart midway thru the last quarter...

Need to watch the game first but don't be too hard on LRT. Even tho he didn't get many stats, according to the commentators I was listening to he made an invaluable contribution by blocking for Buddy - doing what no one was able to do last week!

Concerned that we looked good due to the worst fade out I think I've ever seen by the Crows

Horse said Gary was played as sub to manage his leg soreness. Would guess they are trying to manageTom's workload. Hevwasn't sure on Reid and Bird for next week
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Was there today - joyous occasion!

We won by 10 goals? Not sure how but I'll take it! We can only get better from here too.

Loved the Adelaide Cows fans starting to leave early once they knew they were done. Loved the guy in the Swans group who yelled out "this is not a new Crows oval, it's a new Crows graveyard" - classic!

Rohan is the perfect sub, has impact and his speed is even more accentuated because as a sub he is fresh when the opposition are tired. Got to have explosive impact players as subs.

Still think were easing into the season with alot of our gun players up and about this week compared to the last 2 weeks.

Kizza, Joey, Buddy, Mal, Hanners, Jetta all had good games and if we can get our best players up and about in good form we'll slowly build into the year.

When Tippo, Reid and Buddy are in the forward line all together we will tear sides to shreds. Our forward structure looked much better today aswell.

                            We'll flog north next week.
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Hate to be a killjoy, but I agree. It's been a long time since I've seen some of our gun players so desperately out of form. You can try and cover our holes as much as you like (with the score margin), but at at the end of the day, we weren't that much better than the Crows for the vast proportion of the game. The win is good for confidence and belief, but we still need to work on our fluidity and decision making. On that note, I think I'm done with seeing Macca in defense.

I think we were much better than the Crows - still a bit of work to do, but our run was there - the way we swarmed around them later in the game was particularly encouraging.

I liked the games of LRT and Derickx - they'll both keep their spots next week based on their efforts and stats don't particularly do them justice. I agree though that Rhys was well off the pace and may find himself in the 2s soon.

But really - wow - after what we served up in the first couple of games, this was a refreshing surprise....
