Kennedy has got free the last 2 games and it has a lot to do with TD at centre bounces. After the ruck contest he blocks the opposing ruckman from getting to the ball and at times we had 3 or 4 players to nil when the ball hit the ground. It appears they are working on stopping the heavy tag on our midfielders. Interesting that KJ played half forward a lot and clubs appear see him our most dangerous mid and have their best stopper on him. Interesting tactics.

I thought Bomber was pretty spot on in his press conference. He acknowledged that the Swans played superb footie in the first quarter, which they did. I loved the way our forward line worked perfectly, with all the defenders concentrating so much on the talls who stayed apart that the mids had a goal kicking spree. Nice to see that there had been a bit of goal kicking practice over the week. He also said that he was pleased by the way his players had responded and I agree that they did play some really good footy in patches. We only kicked four more goals than they did over the rest of the game and that was probably because they had a pretty ordinary forward line. The best thing was that we stood firm and probably in control right to the end.
About Goodsey - at worst he is still of value to the team in that the opposition has always got to run a good player with him. He still has that x-factor, and as yet, you just don't know when he might turn it on. I can't see BJ or Membrey or whoever you would put in in his place causing as much concern. I so hope he can get back match fitness. The real worry is that as with ROK the body might say enough is enough. Leg speed seems to be king in footy at the moment and if you haven't got that you have got to be darned good in some other area. The next few matches are going to be telling. The other thing is that the forward line is still a work in progress and like the others Goodsey is still probably trying to find his niche in it. As we know, at his best he is a 'roamer' but Buddy is now chief 'roamer' round the forward line!Comment

Whoo -whoo! You beauty! Not only a great win but lo and behold we (finally) got a deliberate out of bounds that went our way for once with that goal for Tippett late in the third. I am still rankling over a deliberate OOB that cost us a game against North Melbourne many years ago (against Jason Ball) - and there have been others. Made the night for me.Comment

As clear cut a one as you'll ever see!"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Was pretty dumb. The ball was almost out of bounds. He only needed to let it roll out. Nice goal by Kurt.Comment

We are some beautiful football, very excited for the Geelong game.
My only one concern from the game was that Goodes looked a bit lost in what he was doing. I'll put that down to having a year off of footy and the forward line still gelling together. But it'd be amazing to see Goodes and Franklin absolutely firing together. Two Uniques of the game.
Also it was nice to have the umpires help us out in the first half for a change.Comment

I thought exactly the same. You'd be forgiven for thinking they thumped us after watching the highlights.Comment

The time when I rejoice over a BS free to my side that 'makes my night', is the time I turn up going because it would be clear the plot has been well and truly lost...Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

I agree with him. It was a bees from going out anyway, he didn't force the ball over the line to prevent Tippet from getting it, it was a nothing incident. Just the umpy being pedantic.

If Adam is deemed fit to be in the 22, I don't really get why he doesn't play the full game to help get his match fitness up especially in a game where the result is beyond doubt. Get a few kicks, shots for goal , build the understanding with the other 3.
Imagine he wouldn't be happy to be subbed, thought Hanners could have used the rest in the third quarter more than AG."He was proud of us when we won and he was still proud of us when we lost' Tami Roos about Paul Sept 06.Comment

Watching the replay now. Buddy must wet himself every time Lloyd get the footy. He can put the ball beautifully to his advantageYou don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment
