    Dermie is spewing up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways. A very interesting slice of 18mins with a bit of talk back. For mine, he didn't go past the ball. He protected himself, and Hurley didn't. He had no other option to gather the ball whilst protecting himself (every players right and the goal of the game). The ball was in dispute, Hurley forfeited his head over the ball when it left his area. Should have been a free kick same as any other above shoulders frees (marking contest etc). Dermot always seems to fail to mention head stomping in a swans jumper when he mentions his mis-deeds. he hates us, always has. And I can't believe the people drawing similarity between roughhead and McGlynn. Their's was a ball in dispute ahead of both players, Roughead took his eyes off the ball and bumped Ben in the head. Simple.

Essendon fans will feel some vindication but probably more outrage by this.

The Swans didn't get a free kick after McGlynn was bumped last week by Roughhead either. And I am pretty sure that the Hawks either scored a goal or at least set up a scoring shot from the continuous play that continued from that contest. Umpires aren't perfect, they miss things.

And that happened in far less congestion so surprising it wasn't picked up. I think ump was blindsided for the Hurley/Hannebery collision.

A free kick wouldn't have helped them win. We well and truly outplayed them all game.

yeah thats what he said, should have been a free and reported (any forceful high contact must be). But umpire was unable to see contact.

Always knew Dermott was up himself but he seems to have taken it to a whole other level!!!

...and that line about how he when sometimes deliberately bumped other players(hard), he NEVER went for the head!?!?!?

Please Dermott, now that would quite probably be the most untrue thing I've ever heard him say.

Actually within the first 2 minutes of the second quarter there is an almost identical incident involving Malceski and Melksham. At the last second Melksham turns side on and no head clash. It is a great example of technique and awareness

Actually, I think he is telling the truth ... he tended to use his fists rather than a body bump when going for the opponent's head.
