Goodes could see that Pyke had his backed turned to him, so why did he handball? Of course Pyke should have been paying attention, but these things happen all the time in games and you often see a few of these sorts of plays each week.

If Pyke had the reflexes of a Jack, then it may have been a good idea. but alas.

Clearly Goodes' fault. Just one of those stupid brain fades he has.

I'd like to give Goodesy the benefit of the doubt and say that he was just attempting to get big Mike into the match...he'd missed quite a few games and was evidently down on confidence and kicking a goal could have given him a bit of a boost.

It was poorly executed though and they weren't on the same page but Goodes' had the best of intentions...he's never been 'hungry' around goals and has always had the ability to be creative by hand within 30 metres of the big sticks to set up his teammates for easy scoring shots.

No doubt if we were 4 points down with a minute left in a prelim-final he would have gone back and calmly slotted it.

Yep, silly Goodes. Now if it had been Derickx in the goal square? Sorry Mike, but when Swans' fans fail to respect AG in the way he deserves, it makes me sad. He cops enough flak from non-Swans fans!

Both at fault. Pyke should have been backing towards the goals to keep his eye on the play. Goodes should have noticed that Pyke had his back to him, after all he is the experienced player. Could it be that Goodsey is suffering the yips. Never confident with him kicking for goal from set shots. Has missed many clutch goals over his career.

It shouldn't have happened, but blaming Pyke is pretty rich.

                    Welcome back.
Tend to agree. Not sure why Goodes didn't just take the shot.

                          That seems right to me.

I hope Jones gets a full game

                            Pretty handy ins.

I thought Rohan might have been a chance, but well done to Zak. He'll surely start at half-back and Lloyd to suit up in green.

                              And the winner is.... Ludwig!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Horse was very diplomatic about dropping Derickx. Let's hope that Pyke can find his premiership mojo.

Happy that GSW dropped Boyd instead of Jaksch. He's bound to make a couple of goal yielding errors.

Benny is such a big addition to the side, especially with Hanners out.
