I think with Rohan's injury history that it would be unwise to trade him at this time. He is a depressed assert at the current time and he needs turning around before you trade him. If you traded Rohan now he would only get a pick in the 40s. If you can turn him around you may be able to get a low 20s for him or he could continue to be a fine Swans player until retirement.

Im all for offering all the apologies in the world if Matt80 turns out to be correct about Mitchell - but it is idle, baseless speculation at this stage. Especially stuff like 'Mitchell will want to leave'. Unless Matt80 has some source that we are all unaware of, this is pure speculation and nothing else.
Also, lock in No 4."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

I like no. 4. How about something to do with flogging a dead horse. Some sort of reference to Eddie would be good.Comment

I think I would be derided as the person who ran Tom Mitchill out of town.Comment

But if he's with us for years & leaves at the end of his career like his dad, I don't want an "I told you so" post, thanks kindly.Comment

I will issue an apology to all the Red and White faithful if Mitchell stays at the Swans and wins a B and F.Comment

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and if we were offered over's for Mitchell in the form of a top 10 draft pick then the club would have to consider it. However these days every club seems to be (rightly or wrongly) obsessed with leg speed so i can't see that offer materialising. Judging from the social media activity of various players it definitely seems like Tommy is very happy in Sydney...the power of being part of the 'cool' or 'in' group shouldn't be underestimated within the four walls of a footy club.
In respects to onfield though I'm still pretty certain that the Swans hierarchy see him as being our number 1 inside mid over the next 10 years. Kennedy and Jack will play more forward as they get longer in the tooth, Parker will be a goal-kicking, overhead marking mid, Hannebery will be a mix of inside and out, Lloyd will be our outside touch of class, Heeney will be predominantly outside until his body develops, Zak Jones will be a defensive mid or small defender, Rohan, B.Jack, Jetta, Cunningham will be the raw outside pace. It's hard to say where Bird, Hewett, Robinson, Perris, Mills and Dunkley fit in.
We'll have to get used to the fact that we will always have quality mids playing in the NEAFL whilst we don't have injuries. This is a great problem to have and whether or not any want to seed trade options for greater opportunity is yet to be decided. Either way it is exciting times.Twitter @cmdil

In time a think Longmires vision will be to have small defenders who are also midfielders who can swap in and out. Zak Jones and McVeigh are the first of those players. People on the forum have called for Nick Smith and Rampe to used in the midfield as well.Comment
