I know we've kind of retired this point but I laughed.

Just heard Malthouse saying that the swans list has the most depth and that there are 17 or 18 players not playing in the seniors that would fit into any other team in the competition.

        17 or 18???

That is, everyone, more or less including rookies? Cheers Mick. Stick to what you're best at.

Certainly an exaggeration. If fit, ROK and LRT would get spots in most sides. Mitchell in practically any (including ours - if fully fit). Membrey and Towers would have had a chance by now at many clubs. Robinson in one with a shallow midfield (like the Blues'). Biggs maybe. The rest are pretty raw, including someone like Hewett, who shows obvious talent but is probably not really ready (notwithstanding his trip to Perth last week). They'd get games at the poor clubs that gift games to players just because they are on the list, but I doubt many would have gotten games yet at the majority of clubs, unless they were stricken by injury.

I'm sure this won't be the last of this sort of talk, from opposition clubs, that we will hear this year.

They'll all be circling at the end of the season.

Mick, no doubt, is just putting it out there to cement the idea, to our periphery players, that there is a senior spot beckoning elsewhere.

Mike Sheahan also said we were interested in fervola but changed his mind two weeks later. He has a shot in the dark after some grub gives him a tip. Tom Mitchell wants to stay at the Swans according to insiders I have heard talking. Tom has had some injury problems at just the wrong times this year. Injured when we needed a small man and Jake Lloyd filled the void. Injured when Benny got injured and missed out there too. He has had a very forgettable run of injuries and the poor bugger will get better and be a top player if we can keep him on the park.

He's going nowhere and we are going to try and keep all our mids and unsigned players when goodsie & Co retire. There might be a few quid for a defender but we are also growing our own. Have a look at the Twos and see. Tommy, Aliir (injured), Xav Richards & I believe there are lots of tall KPP Defenders in this draft. I am sure we will snag one or two.

Agree. If Tom could just get a run of games without injury he'd walk into our best 22. He isn't going anywhere.

Not sure if anyone heard the Longmire interview on 3AW on Saturday but Mike Sheehan asked if the swans were interested in James Frawley and Longmire responded along the lines that we don't contact players during the season. Sheehan pushed him again and he repeated the same thing. He didn't deny it so not sure what we can take from that!

I think we'd go after Frawley if Malceski left.

Free agency is an incentive not to trade. For example we could just trade mal for Frawley. Or we could let them both go as free agents, and both teams pocket the compensation picks.

Didn't they make initial contact with Tippett mid season?

Rucci has Frawley going to Carlton. Which ecplains why they are pushing Judd out
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

That would seem like an odd move.

Carlton aren't any closer to a flag, or probably finals for that matter, than the Dees.

Actually what he said is that "we don't talk about players from other clubs" which is a world of difference from the quote above.

I'd be surprised if we went after Frawley, considering what he wants.

But if so, Roos is big on the win-win trade scenario, so a decent trade would need to be offered.........ROK.....Only joking Roosy.

More likely Mal, and possibly a young'un as well.
