Peter Gordon is getting just as bad. He does the footy tipping with Jon Faine on 774 on Friday mornings. Faine always jokingly says he never picks Collingwood "on principle". Gordon said he picks against the Swans for the same reason! (I think he resents the fact that a fellow long term cellar-dweller has lifted themselves out of the mire and blames everything other than brilliant management)

What a joke. So any measures to support and grow clubs in non-traditional states are "equalised". Any measures to share the huge financial advantages of the established power clubs are so diluted with "exclusions" and a cap that they are meaningless. McLachlan is a pathetic pawn of the Victorian power clubs.

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder about McLachlan.

So far, on the equalisation front, he has bowed to every demand of McGuire and co, without so much as a whimper.

          It's a real worry.

As soon as the Swans Eddie thing flared up and he didn't make a whimper, alarm bells rang.
            They continue to get louder.
Sad thing is Eddie is dictating terms on anything he is passionate about.
By the time the "McLachlan sucks bandwagon" is full, it will be too late.
A new stronger replacement will come in and preside over all of the changes that have been made.
            Anyone know who McLachlan supports?

Says he has a 'soft spot' for St Kilda.

I agree with you and I get the feeling he is Eddie's puppet

Pies get flogged by the Weagles. Wonder what lame reason Eddie will come up with this week to attack the Swans? I'm almost looking forward to it.

                      Has to play in Perth.
                      Not televised om FTA.
                      Lose.

The Lions looked very ordinary against a depleted Crows side today. Here's hoping that they rebound next week and sink the pies into an even bigger hole to make their finals chances even more difficult. Would be great if Suns and Eagles made the eight at the expense of the Dons and Roos. The more non Victorian sides in the finals the happier I will be. But anyone at the expense of the pies will be fantastic.

Could end up with 6 non Victorian sides and Hawthorn and Geelong in the 8

That would be awesome then we would have the audacity of the Victorians come into play where a MCG final has to be played every week of the final series. Just imagine the scenario with two interstate sides and they both have to play in Melbourne. Looking forward to the day when we have a Swans v GWS grand final at ANZ stadium now wouldn't that just be the best thing ever. Having Swans v WCE in consecutive grand finals was sweet but an all Sydney grand final that just is dreamworld.

There doesn't need to be a final played every week at the MCG anymore. Can't remember exactly when it changed but it's been a few years. I'm sure in 2006 the two preliminaries were played interstate.
