I think it's got to the stage, where very few take his stance against the Swans seriously any more.
His unrelenting attacks on the Swans, sprinkled with his unabashed hypocrisy and conflict of interest,
has left him looking and sounding more like a badly scripted, boorish, comedy act...A poor man's unfunny version of Roy Slaven.
This was evident after the North game when he said, "every one will be rooting for North against the Swans, because they had built a team..Not bought one"
The rest of the panel laughed at him shaking there heads. Lynchy chimed in with "It might just be that the Swans are a great team because of great list management"..
Eddie looked down, shuffled his paper, wobbled his head and mumbled something, then quickly changed the subject.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

Would that be the same North Melbourne that recruited Nick Dal Santo from
St Kilda as a restricted free agent on a 3 year multi-million dollar deal, Eddie?

I don't think Eddie would let the truth get in the way of his agenda
He was at it again on the radio this morning according to a post I saw on a Swans group on facebook.
He has got that ridiculous that I think most in the footy world, even if they agree somewhat with his statements, are over hearing it.
If we win the flag and I run into him in Melbourne, he will be getting an absolute gobful from me - he really has proven himself to be an absolute A grade tool.
"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."

To be fair, I don't think Dal Santo is on a muliti-million dollar deal - St Kilda declined to match a three year deal, not money

The thing with free agency deals, you either out price or out lengthen the opposition (or both with Buddy)
Per year, apparently both the hawks & GW$ were offering comparative annual contracts got Bud (Hawks a bit less, GW$ a bit more - but both for shorter contracts. By ballooning a contract out to 9 years it out prices everyone.
I find it quite interesting that on the Collingwood website player list for the column where players are recruited from, only Luke Ball (StK) & Ben Hudson (Adel - don't worry about WB&Bris!) appear to have been recruiter from other AFL clubs. Conveniently Jesse White & Tony Armstrong don't appear to have come from Sydney, Q-Lynch wasn't from West Coast. The Lone Gunman in me (I'm watch x-files re-runs at the moment) has me imagining Chins Maguire hunched over his keyboard in his darkened office, stabbing the delete with his chubby index finger, erasing Y-E-N-D-Y-S in the Jesse White recruited from column, while he he's muttering "should've gone after Bloody Franklin"

I hope Fox gets rid of Eddie. He compromises their broadcast professionalism. He'd be an excellent foil for Brian Taylor on 7 though. Both crap commentators but different

Eddie was quie sickening on the Fox telecast last night.
They showed all the commentators tips and expected margin, Eddies was Swans by $2m points - childish!
Then as the team was coming into the race after the game he sad something along the lines of "good luck to them, they are the rules and they EXPLOITED them" as if we'd done something underhand.
Eddie has definitely got worse since the demise of Collingwood to also rans. Think he is hurting from the fact that Collingwood isn't seen as a destination club by significant players looking to change clubs. In fact, despite it's mega $, it has an air of rot about it and a fish rots from the head down and Eddie's the head!
I'm sick of him, his constant purile and factually inaccurate jabs at the Swans have made him a laughing stock EXCEPT he still seems to influence AFL House :-(
cannot believe he continue's to get away with his defaming comments . I hope our club sue's him for defamation as soon as we have won the flag ..he has basically called the swans cheats .it sickens' me that people like this are employed by fox ..makes me want to cancel my subscription..although the mute button comes in mighty handy everytime McGuire speaks
