I think it's more like this ^.

He has a tendency to fall over in a way that it looks like he's staging, even when there's no potential free kick to be had. He just has this little quirkiness about him that appears unnatural.

I think he gets far too much scrutiny. But that's the price of being a star and AOTY.

Having said that, Goodes needs to put his head down a bit more and get past the staging. I'm a huge fan, and can see that if not for the R & W blinkers that he would be a villain.

May I suggest everyone pulls out the 2012 GF DVD & watch it just to remind us all how tough Goodesy is.
I have no doubt that he can only run in straight lines & is saving the big efforts for the games that matter & he will help us win the p'ship this year with these efforts.
If he stages a little, & doesn't get another free kick for the rest of the year, so be it. As long as when he runs straight in the GF should we make it, he takes out whoever is in his way, because remember he can't change direction because of his PCL problem. It's time we back Goodesy up a little here.

In the meantime, get your little 5 YO sisters or nieces to whack you across the throat when you're not expecting it.
Now all you blokes tougher than Goodesy, make sure you don't flinch.
