Go outside and play in the sunshine.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I really don't want to read on a swans board anything positive about McGuire. There are other forums Matt if you want to praise the merits of McGuire and Co, especially one that loves trolls and disingenuous posters like yourself. Its big and its about footy..knock yourself out if you haven't already.Comment

I'm sure the Pies have an "I think the sun shines out of Eddie's arse" thread going.

I'm not a huge Eddie fan as has been suggested. I don't hate him, but he is not on my top 10 list of the people I most want to have lunch with.
I feel the hatred towards Eddie that is exhibited by Swans Board members, Executives, Players, Coaching staff and the wider fan base is detrimental to the club.
Like it or not, Eddie is the AFLs biggest powerbroker. He is so widely established that there is no tacking him down. In short we can whinge all we want, but he is not going anywhere.
Hating Eddie and moaning to the AFL commission about him won't stop him.
He knows the Swans community hates him so he sets out to screw us. He is doing very well screwing us based on the recent trade bans.
It much easier would things be if the Swans community were his friends. He would then be preaching about goodness of the Swans Academy.
I'm being pragmatic and I want the AFL on our side. It's starts with getting Eddie on our side.Comment

Apologies for my posting frequency, but I need to clarify my position.

The thing is, Matt80, many on RWO seem to disagree with the merits of your suggested buddying up with McChins.
How about you set up a poll and be done with it? You only need two choices 1) suck up to Eddie; 2) Eddie sucks.
If 1) wins, you're vindicated & no need to mention it again. If 2) wins, the RWO majority have spoken & no need to mention it ever again.Last edited by 0918330512; 3 November 2014, 11:54 PM.Comment

Do you know what comprehension is?
Do you not get it?

A judgement from the Supreme Court of Victoria will tack him down... AND the AFL.
If the meeting doesn't go in our favour on 15 December, the swans will be taking this to Court.

Also happy for us to keep a dignified silence and let the law of equity take its course.
And I'm also happy for the law of restraint of trade to be invoked if the Academy is compromised thereby forcing 18 year olds interstate when they have committed to the sport of AFL with the reasonable expectation that if a club invests millions of dollars in their education that they can play for that club.Comment

Collingwood would benefit from a restraint of trade case winning. Is pushing the swans toward a challenge all part of McChins master plan?
I think we should open up another avenue of attack.. it is rumoured that essendon drug program was based off an earlier collingwood model. James hirds famous "keeping up with others" comment. We should push for that to be investigated further.Comment
