          Jake Lloyd is something special.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

                What a win ????.

I have not yelled at the tv like that in years!!!

Was Tippett limping after the game?

I have to try and calm down now.

it was a clinical win tonight. We just did enough to win. I am getting a bit tired of this attitude. We need to finish off sides. We should have killed them in the third and again in the last. I wonder if Mal has already decided where he is going next year as his delivery at times is disgusting. I think his mistakes actually lost us the Hawks and I think he was on target to lose it in the third quarter the way he was delivering up field. Mind you he wasn't on his own. I think this is a second game Birdy should want to forget. His game was very ordinary tonight and his delivery to the forward line was crap. Same with Kizza & even though Mal played well his delivery to the forward line at times left a lot to be desired. I don't understand why players on their own can't hit up a player.

Great win away against a quality outfit! Happy with the points considering our forward line never really fired all night! Smith back in and we'll be looking good!

The reputation of the Swans means teams ALWAYS get up to play them. I've seen some Port games recently, and that's the best I've seen them for some time. Probably should have won....but the good teams find a way, and if nothing else, the Swans are a good team.

I'd suggest Port have put in a big training block for finals, and being a young side it has impacted them mor than most. The Port - Freo game n round 23 will be a cracker.

i dont think Port should have won tonight

we simply allowed them to move into areas on the field we wanted them to move into............this tends to look like they are dangerous with ball in hand but it was generally on our terms

equally when they turn it over in these areas we tended to find them out and move the ball very quickly to our advantage

i must say though the clearances and hit outs are now beyond a joke and a better team upfront like the Hawks would have destroyed us from the clearances by hitting targets

Great win away from home and most importantly, it wasn't Buddy centric...very good signs for the finals with Rohan and Cunningham playing well. Rohan is reminding me a little of Maxfield with his run...

Jetta came good in the second half...I still think he's carrying an injury of some sort...many others may be too...

Anyway, I'm very happy with that win, it was a team win...

Oh the commentary was shocking...glad I don't pay for that rubbish..

Great win by the boys tonight.

Umpires were very bad - we got a couple but Port were given dream run by the umpires.

I thought Shaw and Birdy had very ordinary games. Last week I thought Bird was one of our weakest players and tonight he didn't do anything to change my mind. Does Shaw have a pair of footy boots with stops in them as he continually fell over and his kicking was shocking. Benny was brilliant and I thought Gaz and Cunningham did well.

Oh and I just about put my foot throughout the TV at the commentary. Absolutely disgusting and so one eyed it wasn't funny. Fancy having 2 SA ex players commentating this game.

Jake Lloyd is a beauty. He was cool and composed in the last quarter, and disposal silky. Decisive games by our most important players: McVeigh, Kennedy, Jetta, McGlynn, Parker. I thought Laidler was really good, too. Great to see Gary nail that goal - he fumbled a bit at first, but had an excellent second half.

I didn't think the commentary was bad at all. It's in Adelaide, with local commentators, you expect it to be focussed on the home team. They were sufficiently complimentary.

Thought the umpires weren't nearly as bad as last week.
Few they missed - thought Pyke was stiff late in the last in a ruck contest when he was clearly held.

As for the commentary..... I get that it's a Port home game AND that they were the underdogs and that they needed to build up the game, but they were way over the top tonight. Like I said before, possible the worst bias I've heard...
