    Harvey gets a week

He's been offered a week. I bet he takes it to the tribunal - nothing to lose.

I'm sure this will get the Swans haters all whipped up. The AFL is doing everything in it's power to ensure we win the Premiership if you listen to the usual conga line of boofheads.

I don't care particularly if the little sniper plays or not.

He'll take it to appeal but a strong precedent has been set this year for this type of incident, ball not within 5 metres, attacked the man, made head contact, drew blood and lots of it.

Looks a soft incident but he made several errors in deciding to go the bump, 50/50 to get off. If he does get off Nat Fyfe will be filthy if he loses the Brownlow for a similar incident.

        Interesting.
I thought he might have got off.
I'm sure they will challenge it.

        Zac Dawson is a grub.
That is twice in 2 weeks he has given a subtle whack. Should get 0.5 matches for each one.

Nat Fyfe had two suspensions not just the one for the head clash resulting from a bump. So he could not have won the Brownlow anyway. But I'm sure you're right, he will be filthy that Freo didn't appeal his first suspension if Harvey's appeal is upheld.

Surely there's a lesson here for the Swans for Friday night. Do NOT risk losing your place in a potential grand final team by taking on a Roos player with a bump. And please pass the message on to Buddy.

Couldn't have happened to a better bloke either...can't stand the way 'Boomer' goes about his football. Arrogant, selfish and overrated are 3 adjectives that spring to mind.

I could add tough, resilient and talented. Don't like Boomer but he is/has been a great player IMHO. Don't care if he plays or not. Won't make a lot of difference.

not at all...if he continually put himself and his over-inflated ego ahead of the good of the team the way he has been lately I definitely wouldn't.

                            Seriously... Tongue in cheep comments...

                            My 2 points are

If Harvey hadn't lined Selwood up the coach would have Dragged him to the bench.. He has always played hard and I believe that the penalty is very hard given the accidental contact of heads..

My call it was a sheppard greater than 5m away = free kick, missed by the umpire at the time.. Play on!

The other point is Difference was 6 points... Lets say Selwood is off the ground for 3 minutes. It is possible that this incident cost the cats the game... Geelong could have kicked a goal and a behind during this time.... Well only if he was on the ground, hypothetically....

Appeal and let off and has to retire after the game.. We don't want them to have any excuses!

                              Probably right.

Those saying they wouldn't love him probably said the same about Buddy.
