He's been in good form tonight, here's a selection:

          "Tribunal just assessing the bribe."

"Tribunal Chairman instructing the jury to consider what people are saying on the social medias."

"Tribunal asks Selwood to speak into the microphone. He leans forward and cracks his head on the mike. It's a free but he's cut open."

Anyone else relieved that he's playing so we won't have an enduring whine about rigged tribunals if/when we do get up this Friday?

Glad he got off, even though I thought he was guilty.

Selwood has got a future in politics. He's got the lying part down pat.

                  Yep.
As an aside, I wonder if Selwood would have been so generous with his testimony if his coaches brother wasn't Harveys coach. I had the same thought when Thompson went in to bat for whatever cats player it was he backed up.

I agree. And I can see that it could be said to be insufficient force as the head injury was not severe (although the Fyfe comparison remains as Rischitelli also was not concussed).

But the line of argument to support the "insufficient force" case, which was that Selwood bleeds easily, is flawed in my view. The point of this rule (which is to try to discourage head injuries) is that, if a player elects to bump and makes high contact, the player is responsible for the outcome. The Harvey bump led to a head clash that led to Selwood's bleeding. The fact that Selwood might be susceptible to bleeding should be irrelevant. The only issue should be whether the head injury resulting from the bump was severe enough for the impact to be judged as more than negligible.

Otherwise, if a Roos player bumps Tippett high leading to concussion, will it be a legitimate argument to produce past episodes and say Tippett is susceptible to concussion?

Funny, but I haven't heard the term Protected Species yet. What can it be?

Why was not his on field rant to the umpire after the incident come into play? Remember " hey ump did you see what he just did to me". We all heard that, now its just happened because he's a little bleeder! OMG! In the past, I have to hear on the Victorian radio about Goodsey being a protected species. Bet the won't say the same thing about boomer!

At least it wasn't Thomas the Teflon man this time. Then there would have been anger.

He's due to get rubbed out.

Don't worry, if needed, Nick Smith will erase him out of the game on Friday night
