    Whatever ever happened to..

Being summer (or close to) I thought it'd be interesting to start a thread about our former favourite players and where they are now / where life has taken them.

I'd be curious to know if anyone knows where life took former favourites such as Jamie Lawson, Dale Lewis , Mark Bayes, Leo Barry (he retired 5 years ago now!), Robbie Ahmat, Andrew Schauble, Derek Kickett?

Leo Barry works for Merrill Lynch - Leo Barry - Australia | LinkedIn .

No idea about the rest of them.

Dale Lewis is a radio presenter in Adelaide. I think he also used to coach in the SANFL

What a funny thing to look at Leo Barry's Linkedin profile. You'd be pretty happy to be able to put down the following as accounting for 15 years of your working life:

          Player
          Sydney Swans Ltd
          November 1994 ? October 2009 (15 years)

Does this mean he has resigned from his post as NSW/ACT U18 head coach, otherwise there would be a conflict of interest?

After breaking his leg & retiring, Jamie Lawson was our runner for a short period of time. He has since gained a bit of weight & now lives in Dareton NSW (where Benny McGlynn hails from).

Robbin Ahmatt played with Southern Districts in Darwin after leaving the Swans & then coached StGeorge in the Sydney Football League. Now works with the ANZ I think.

Shaub's is (or at least was) a commentator on ABC radio

I added a link to the article after you asked.

Derek Kickett shows up on Marngruk Footy every now and again, resides in W.A. (I THINK, maybe S.A.).

Mark Bayes did have a business in Sydney, but not sure now. I'll facebook Troy Luff, he would know, and I'll get back to you.

AND he did. Not in touch nowadays, but Cleaning business somewhere in Queensland.

Leo Barry has won awards for his excellent work in the Stockbroking industry.

He will most likely be a better stockbroker than AFL Footballer.

What a transition. Even the anti-corporate faction who oppose Matt80 can appreciate the contribution that Leo is making to bringing greater wealth and prosperity to his clients.

He should be elected to the commission.

In other words, a high flyer in both fields.

A lot of sales forces have the bell when a deal is closed. I wonder if the "Leo Barry, you star" gets played over the office intercom when Leo closes another deal?
