What evidence ?
All weve heard is some motherhood statements about it being "almost as good as some other deals".
Details of the new contract have not been make public, and even the most ordinary of spin-doctors from within the swans would have been able to leak a few winners.... if there are any........Well most anyway.

Yeah meaning AFL will never have to be played there again, regardless what the 1 corporate fanboy tell us.
Barry if you love corporation stadium soo much then I have an idea. Every swans game at the SCG you and your corporate entourage can go sit in the corporate box at corporation bankers stadium with your dell 13 inch lappy and watch the game in peace. If you want to emulate and experience the empty soulless feel of bankers stadium on match day, you can by opening the window and getting some people to cheer so it echoes.
Problem solved. You're happy, we're happy, everybodies happy!Comment

You actually need to be a member to get the end of year survey, so that would explain why Barry seems to think it was 'concocted'."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

I want to pay tribute to Barry for arguing with such passion on what he believes in.
Barry is a huge fan of ANZ stadium and there is nothing wrong with that. We must all respect his right to have and express an opinion.
Keep it up Barry. The smart arses are making fools of themselves!Comment

Let's see. You're a Rhodes scholar and you've just forked out a bucket load of Pacific pesos for a concrete monster that encircles a patch of sand; what'll I do with it?
It's not really suited to rectangular sports even in rectangular mode unless it's a high drawing event. What are the crowd drawing sports events in NSW? certainly not H/A NRL or AL or SL. It is an oval and we do have an AFL side in town. It would be derelict not to approach all possible tenants. There is no law against approaching the Swans. There is no AFL stadium poaching law - in fact it's probably encouraged.give it to the gameComment

Is this place going to the dogs, or what?

Why don't you go and follow them? Their home games are close enough to it. You can even get turkish food.
You don't seem to like the swans, their management, their decisions, the players, the fans, etc. etc.
Why are you here?Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

If you take the time to look outside your "little victoria" view of Sydney, you might have found a recent survey by Galaxy which found...
Key highlights of the survey include:
- Three-quarters of the Sydney population (76%) support the proposed redevelopment of ANZ Stadium.
- Nearly half of all Sydneysiders (45%) believe that upgrading the city?s Olympic stadium should be a higher priority for the NSW State Government than upgrading Allianz Stadium (29%) or Parramatta Stadium (25%).
- The majority of Sydneysiders rate ANZ Stadium as an iconic venue of national significance and, of the three stadium options, it is the preferred venue and location to view major events, and the best located in terms of providing easy access for people in the Greater Sydney area.
- A massive 90% of Sydneysiders agree that it is important that Sydney and NSW continues to have a large stadium that can hold 80,000-plus spectators.Comment

I really enjoy the T20 and concerts I have been to at the stadium and I live an equal distance to both venues so I am not an anti Stadium Oz person per se, I just don't think it suits AFL.Comment
