You can't have it both ways Red and White.

I'm on a mission to stop the anti-corporate nonsense that I'm hearing.
      Sigh

      Here we go again.
Matt does everything have to end up with you trying to browbeat people to your point of view?
I can have a dim view of the corporate world and still respect Andrew Pridham, and just because I respect him and my team benefits from his leadership and management skills does not mean I have to respect anyone else in his field.

If you break it down, current fans (and little victorians) favor the SCG.
Future fans, and potential converts in the rest of Sydney favor ANZ.
Wow, I'm amazed that you know what "future fans" and "potential converts" think.
They can watch them play at the SCG like the rest of us.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Sorry mate. I just enjoy arguing my point of view. This is vibrant democracy at its best.

There are many corporate titans who bring social good to our society. What about David Gonski and his wonderful work in public education? What about David Murray, courageously taking on his old banking constituency, to protect all Australians from future World economic shocks? Both these guys are making our society better.

Not all corporate titans behave like HIH or Storm financial.

It's time for many Red and White posters to have a more balanced view of corporate Australia.

                      Modern swans attitude?
WTF is that? (Or maybe I just shouldn't ask.)

Mate, even my warped logic can't fathom why a "future fan" and "potential convert" wouldn't want to watch the game at the SCG.
                      That's where we'll be playing.

ANZ is NOT a good ground to watch the game at, is not a good ground for the players to play on, and is not a good ground for our measly attendance figures. The only game that gets a half-decent crowd is the Collingwood game. I hate playing Collingwood there... too many of their feral fans are able to get seats to the game. I KNOW that that probably affects our bottom line... but I don't really care. Joffa can have my spare ticket for the game at the SCG... of course, I'll be charging double the premium price I pay for it.

Please understand this. No one likes ANZ (except for you).

                      Are you lonely?

While I love the SCG, I believe it?s important to maintain a presence in Homebesh.

Homebush Bay has incredible upside and could well have the same gravitas as Moore Park in 30-40 years? time. People seem to forget that the suburb of Paddington was known as a dive in the 1940s. It?s now one of the most sought after suburbs in Sydney.

Development and momentum are continuing to grow in Homebush Bay. It?s on the rise and the Swans should take advantage of that. It?s the geographical capital of Sydney with huge developing fan markets.

Premier Baird has also outlined plans for huge residential developments along Parramatta Road. This will bring many more citizens into the Homebush area.

I?m not happy to surrender the majority of the Sydney market to GWS. Sure the Swans have history, but a couple of down years for the Swans and a couple of great years for GWS, could swing the majority of these Western Suburbs fans to GWS.

This is what Barry is saying and his strategy is spot on.

AnnieH, I?ve never been called boring. You need to calm down.

I support Pridham with what he does at the swans, but away from the swans I dont agree with his politics nor am i interested about his business acumen, to me he is just another suit doing whatever it takes to fill pockets of the big end of town and his own. Good luck to him.

I respect your point of view.

What needs to be acknowledged is that Pridam is bringing those elite corporate skills to benefit our football club. He is an excellent manager of people, an outstanding negotiator and has the Swans finances in great working order.

Pridham would not have the skills to benefit the Swans if he did not have such a good corporate grounding. The same could be said for Richard Colless.

Being ani-corporate is like wanting to shut down the ?feeder club? who are providing the great directors who take the Swans forward.
