The "Drughawks" substances aren't specified (most suspected to be a stimulant, Adderall), because the NFL keeps that information in-house. In the US, there is no appetite for cracking down on performance-enhancing drugs within the country's largest spectator sport, where the over-sized and ultra-fast players have become a kind of gladiator class in a violent staccato game put on for mass television consumption.
Our game is @@@@ on television.
I hate away games!!
Ours is the type of game you need to go and watch live.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

Ever since the Roman times the masses have loved the gladiatorial nature of the man on man contest. The AFL feeds our blood thirsty instincts with its style of play. It needs commentators who feed those gladiatorial instincts. The NFL commentators do this expertly. The AFL would be a better TV sport if this was done.Comment

The AFL does not have the money to put on entertainment like the Super Bowl.
Even if they did I can't see it attracting more people to watch the game. On Monday the only time I turned it over to the Super Bowl was to watch the half time entertainment. I did the same thing last year. I have no interest in the game.Comment

I completely disagree, I love watching the footy on TV! Nothing compares to being at the ground of course, but I think the game translates extremely well to TV.Comment

You can't see what's happening down the other end.
TV only lets you see as far as where the ball is.
I'll watch it on TV because I have to, but I much prefer to be at the game.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

These days I love nothing more than sitting on my massive comfy sofa, home made food and snacks on the table, the heater on, a glass of vino, Miles or Donald playing on the turntable to block out the talking heads in the pre match and my big massive TV to watch the game. I don't have to put up with footy crowds and societies lowest common denominator at footy games. I used to love going to SCG but then i moved to Melbs for a while and after a year of going to every game to soak up "the atmosphere" i vowed never ever to set foot inside an AFL stadium again with a few exceptions last year which confirmed my desire to stay at home and watch the game on tv.
