Our biggest loss was Nic Malceski.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

IF he signed at the start of 2013 then including that year he IS out of contract at the end of this season.

"The 22-year-old, who has played 79 games for the Swans, re-signed with the club on Wednesday morning in a deal which will see Hannebery remain in the red and white until the end of the 2016 season."

Contracts do not mean what they used to.
I hope Dan stays with us forever, but FA seems to have put loyalty on the back burner.
I can understand players wanting to get the most out of their career money wise, but that does not help us supporters when we lose one of our own,

                        Yeh agreed ^

If he is going to leave then hopefully he will leave at the end of this season so that we can get a decent draft pick or picks for him.

Having said that I can't see him going anywhere.

If (and it's a big if) he leaves at the end of this season aren't we still stuck as we cannot recruit anyone with a price tag over $350 000?
So there would be no like for the like replacements

No like for like but we would need draft picks more to help us secure Mills/Dunkley under this ridiculous new set-up.

Hmm. Definitely sounds like sour FA, as opposed to ...
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Just a hypothetical. Please don't fire up.

Imagine that we secured pick 1 in a trade for Hanners.

We decided not to use pick 1 for Mills and see where his first bid occurs. Someone then bids pick 4 for Mills.

Can the Swans return the player that they used with pick 1 back into the draft and get pick 1 back. They would then use a proportion of the available pick 1 points to pay the points cost of pick 4.

Is that possible? It could be one of the flaws of live drafting with Academy and Father / Son players.
