Things are a whole lot different now to when Pagan coached. There's a squillion asst coaches who do most of the hands on stuff, it's not like the kid only interacts with dad.

You don't pass up an opportunity to draft a gun player at 25% discount. If he's good enough, the type of player we need and says no thanks to Norths F/S offer then we'll draft him.

I believe he is a keen Swans supporter anyway!

The Brisbane Lions were after Paul Roos after Voss. I always wondered if Roos turned them down to avoid any potential father / son conflict with his son Tyler.

It is purely your supposition that "The kid would cop an absolute ear bashing from his Dad to show the other players and coaches that there is no favouritism. He would have to ride his Son harder than any other player on the list and then his wife would be questioning why he is giving their Son such a hard time."

Honestly if the kid plays like a champion he wouldn't need to be ridden. & believe it or not, some people can be honest enough with their underlings that it won't be seen as favouritism. Please don't write as though you know Horse intimately.

As for "Longmire wants to trade out his Son because there are to many similar players on the list? he's a professional, his son would be a professional, I would hope they would both manage this situation in a professional manner.

As for Roos, again, supposition, based on innuendo

          How old is Longmires Son?

How hard will it be for Longmire junior to play for his Dad? The kid would cop an absolute ear bashing from his Dad to show the other players and coaches that there is no favouritism.

What happens then if Longmire wants to trade out his Son because there are to many similar players on the list?

I think Pagan and Son were the last coach / son duo. Pagan spoke about the situation being difficult.
I know the last 2 posts were removed for the same reason, but these things have been said privately, now they are said publicly.
From some former regular posters on RWO, posted on the weekend:

Tried recently returning to my once favourite Swans Fan Forum to see if I could get back into it. I miss the fun and banter of the old days. Sadly the same reasons why I left in the 1st place remain and life is too short.
I will stick with my small group of wonderful Facebook friends and only interact with people I respect on Twitter.

I noticed that too - will only look at it fleetingly now.

It's just tiresome now. Same arguments, same know it alls and the same trolls spoiling for reactions. It's sad it's come to this because the site was a massive part of my football life.

Yeah. Have popped back a few times and .. Trolls aren't being policed, standards and humour missing. Over it. Except for uggs reports

Ugg's reports worth their weight in gold.

Couldn't agree more. Eugene is a treasure.

It's like driving past your old house that you left years ago. Never the same.

The powers that be decided that Matt80's contributions were preferable to all the regulars who now don't participate. Strange way to run things, but there you have it in a nutshell...
I've been hearing this a lot for the past 6 months.

Surely Sydney would be his preferred team. He's effectively grown up there and all his friends live there. he would have a soft spot for North too but that would mean a move interstate for him.

So he goes to North for a year or two then complains of homes sickness and returns to Sydney

John Blakey has a son who is a F/S for North, but he too is an academy boy.

Yes, perhaps in another attempt to appease the more powerful Melbourne clubs, there will be a clause inserted for our future father/son prospects, whereby the mother would had to have played a few games for us as well.
