Things are a whole lot different now to when Pagan coached. There's a squillion asst coaches who do most of the hands on stuff, it's not like the kid only interacts with dad.

Honestly if the kid plays like a champion he wouldn't need to be ridden. & believe it or not, some people can be honest enough with their underlings that it won't be seen as favouritism. Please don't write as though you know Horse intimately.

As for "Longmire wants to trade out his Son because there are to many similar players on the list? he's a professional, his son would be a professional, I would hope they would both manage this situation in a professional manner.

Mr Longmire is not going anywhere. He is an outstanding coach and his focus is unrelenting. He does not seem burnt out, and does not look like he craves a position in the media. He will keep going for many years to come as long as the Swans make the finals consistently.

I think Pagan and Son were the last coach / son duo. Pagan spoke about the situation being difficult.

Surely Sydney would be his preferred team. He's effectively grown up there and all his friends live there. he would have a soft spot for North too but that would mean a move interstate for him.

Yes, perhaps in another attempt to appease the more powerful Melbourne clubs, there will be a clause inserted for our future father/son prospects, whereby the mother would had to have played a few games for us as well.
