We should steer clear of Harry in the wet. Craig is the obvious replacement.
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

The forecast is actually really promising, isn't supposed to rain Friday evening at all.

Any game we don't turn up with full commitment is a danger game.. On Friday night we are playing Carlton.. They are injury depleted b grade side. They have a couple of decent players and that is it.. Judd is looked really out of sorts last Friday night. I really am having a hard time seeing this as a danger game. I see this as a good time to bring 1 new face.. Naismith would be a good choice. If Pyke goes down later in the season we really need a more seasoned backup.

With our percentage 28% below Freo, 31% below WC, and 18% below Hawks, and top two, or just second(given how Freo are going) maybe being decided by percentage, I think it will be 'pedal to the metal' for our boys this weekend. Go Swans!!

Yes we should be boosting our percentage this week. I must say though That our percentage isn't bad. Currently 127 having played freo hawthorn Geelong port and Essendon all top eight teams from last year. And the other teams percentages will drop as the season goes on. That always happens and only 2 or 3 teams get left with percentages around 140. Go swans. Let's also hope Bulldogs and Geelong win this week leaving us in clear second

I think we should be hoping that West Coast can keep winning for now and slip into third behind us at season's end...the Eagles at home in a qualifying final would be a dream scenario. Could also eventuate in Freo having to play them in a preliminary final as well.

I've seen nothing from Wet Coke to suggest they are going to match it when they finally get around to playing the big boys (they have a dream draw this year) - I'd be exceptionally surprised if they finish top 4, but with Port dropping away like they have, North as inconsistent as ever, and the Hawks being 4-4, there is a chance they could sneak into the eight. It must be a long while since we've played them in Sydney?

Off Topic: I did hear that Nick Maxwell hopes the Pies don't finish too high this year as they are not yet ready to challenge and then next year (when he thinks they will be ready) they will have a better draw. I think it was on The Huddle, the commentators just laughed saying there is no substitute for finals experience.

Did he really say that?? One of the sillier things I've heard! They won't challenge next year anyway so his point is moot.

No Judd, no Gibbs this week according to the AFL injury report so they are running out of troops.

Think Carlton will come out and try to pressure us and turn it into a scrappy scragging affair, like Melbourne do nowadays. We just have to rise above that and try to get a percentage booster this week and again next week on the Gold Coast against another team bereft of confidence.

Marc Murphy just ruled out. Will they have a midfield this week?

Everitt is going to be a busy boy is all I'll say.

No excuse for us not to belt them by at least 10 goals, even if its wet. 100+ would be nice, I'll never forgive Carlton for trying to finish us off when we were at our lowest ebb.

I won't laugh at their misfortune, as we know what its like to be there, but I'm all for giving them a flogging on the field and enjoying the good times our club is in at the moment - something that would never have happened had carlton had their way and we disappeared completely.
