Weather has been a bit crazy here in Perth this morning. Very gusty with occasional short lived heavy rain that follows. Pretty cold too. Hopefully it's not too wet during the game ?

Cold and miserable here in Perth. It has drizzled very light misty rain all night. I doubt the ground will be very heavy, but it will be slippery as buggery and Tippo and Sammy will have their work cutout clunking marks as they have done consistently the past few weeks.

To have two WA teams is looming like a real possibility. I can see Melbournians moaning and complaining how unfair it is; and serves them right for focusing too much on Sydney Swans and forgetting that there are other teams in competition that can take the glory off them. Will they introduce trade restrictions on Freo/WCE as well if they start to dominate the competition?

I doubt it. Eddy has a personal vendetta against the Swans, he's the reason we've copped it lately.

In any case, I was so pleased West Coast gave the Hawks a flogging. So good to watch, might bring the Hawks down to earth a bit.

We've been relying on Heeney's clean marking recently also. It'll be interesting to see how some of these young blokes hold up today. It's going to be brutal over there in the wet. We know what to expect, we've got to be ready for it, hang in there and make the most of opportunities.

I hope we're ready to run. We need to spread quickly and be decisive.

                Brutal about sums it up.

Hasn't rained for a while. With the strong wind the roads are dry. Still overcast and threatening but we may be lucky.

Are the thoughts we are a better chance against Freo if it doesn't rain?

Yeah, never thought I'd be cheering on WC, they were very good last night.

This "game review" is just hilarious: writer a Hawks fan? Invincible Hawks still a shoe-in for premiers, just a bit more difficult for them now, barely a mention of the sound beating by quality opposition. Some of the comments are fun.

I reckon Hawks are cooked too, peaked too soon, always takes the media a while to accept the reality (2012 anyone)

McPharlin out but Fyfe definitely in.

McPharlin, Taberner out, Mzungu and C. Pearce in.

                          No late changes for us.

                          Subs - (Swans) Jones
                          (Frem) C. Pearce

That article is a complete joke. West Coast beat them in just about every area, convincingly too. Here's hoping West Coast can get the job done at the MCG (should they encounter the Hawks again). If you couldn't already tell, I am sick of Hawthorn and their arrogance, not to mention their DUI star who can do no wrong.

Saw on twitter that someone said that McPharlin being out is a massive loss but even though he's listed as having a (calf) issue, i really feel that the changes are more tactical than forced considering the weather and Buddy being out and probable smaller, quicker forward line.

There is no way McPharlin doesn't play if he's fit to. He's one of the best defenders in the competition.
