Have not seen an apology from Luke Beveridge yet?
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

You may be waiting a while, my normally rational Doggies-supporting friend said:
Yeh he didn't do anything..... Oh but he lost his phone overseas..... And oh his brother deleted all their text messages..... But hey they didn't do anything! Good luck when you play the crows!

The off-season - its boom time for paranoia (witness our drafting threads)
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

It's fair to say they more than likely exchanged messages that they probably shouldn't have...very strange for Cheney to stand by his story for over a month and then all of a sudden decide that it was a 'joke'. And no young bloke deletes messages from his phone unless he doesn't want people seeing them...

          Anyway good result for us!

How is it fair to say that? Are you aware of something the AFL investigators are not?
I expect Cheney is highly embarrassed at what he did, and avoided owning up until completely nailed down.
And people delete messages all the time..to free up space.
Esp young ppl who text high volumes.

They'd probably have a fair case actually.

Unless Conor Dillon was the magistrate...

Or unless the ask the Swans what they should do...

I think in a week or so, people will be saying "it is fair to say that Melbourne placed a vexatious bid on Mills"
ie: I think it was an opinion posted before, one which cannot be proven one way or the other, but seems obvious.

The amount of text messages that can be stored on smart phones is close to infinite...

Anyway I'm not saying what was shared would have been serious but surely you can't think that it's all a big coincidence!

I've got a feeling that both players would be pretty happy with the outcome of the investigation and that we've heard the end of it.

I don't think you'll be hearing anyone saying that Mills going at 3 is vexatious. To our credit nobody at the Swans or the Academy has been talking him down, in fact all we do is sing his praises. I think we see him as a quality 10 year, 200+ games high quality player and we are just very grateful to be able to lock him in. As we should for the millions we have pumped into that academy of course

And if we do then we have a simple option at our disposal, don't match it. But you'd think from our trading strategy we probably share that valuation and took a calculated punt that Weitering and Schache at #1 and 2.

Even if we are still paying a little overs, we are only paying Pick 6 "prices" for a Pick 3 if you accept the validity of the points system

Word around the traps is that Beveridge and the Dogs are not at all happy with the result of the investigation and are considering further action. They believe the Crows have pressured Cheney to recant his original story
