As a general rule the teams with the worst supporters tend to be the ones with the most supporters. It must be human nature to behave like a tool when you have safety in numbers. One exception would be the St.Kilda supporters who have been terrible for as long as I can remember. Even going back to the Lakeside Oval days. The Norf supporters (not the club itself or it's players) are usually fairly well behaved. Richmond supporters are usually pretty good given their large support base. The funny thing about Richmond is they tend to turn on themselves more so that the opposition.
I used to work at VFL Park and even when the Hawks weren't playing finals their supporters were always @@@@e. Cats supporters are usually okay and the other big three clubs (Essendon, Collingwood and Carlton) are just feral.
