I'd have his children - if he'd let me - and if I was 20 years younger!!????????
There's no player in the AFL I'd rather watch. I really didn't know to think we he joined... doubted him, but now I love having Buddy in the team and can't believe we have the AFL most exciting player at the SCG every other week

Also, preferably a win at the right end of the season. We did the exact same thing last season. Now let's see them beat these scumbags at the SCG.
Yep we need to beat them again when they come to the SCG - needs to build some real confidence that we can roll them when it matters at the end of the year. For I think the team that can (if any can) will win the flag.

So glad he's spending no more time with EVIL Ross Lyon

Rohan - Great marking on the lead, or kick over the back and turn it to a race.
Hewett - This why you need real footy players, smart, great decisions and disposals
                Buddy - just being buddy
Mills - on Gunston, great lesson, but give it everything and brave and will play 250 games.
Heeney - just a gun, would we needed.
Smooch - Blanketed Rioli and no Bruce stroking himself
Laidler - This is why he plays every game, courageously every contest
Ramps & Reg - just great, nothing more
Tippett - A grader, as Ruck and killed them and good forward
                Hannebery -our heart and soul
JPK - Covered Mitchell with Titch and a warrior
Titch - mitchell beat him early but after q1 just 4 more possessions
Parker - got it alot but made no impact
Lloyd - played as our link man, solid game.
Sinclair - just needs to toughen up, weak efforts, and take your marks
Benny - great as small forward but decisons in the mids will always with problems
Kizza and Macca - just fair games and some dodgy skills and I not think they will ever dominate their men or games.
Jones - some very good a little bad and couple of ugly. Just one free and 4 tackles. Maybe needs to play as tagger or in mids and cracking at the ball.
Harry - got 19 posssies but can't tell what he did. I think he was playing similar to Lloyd.

Great win all round from the boys tonight! The umpiring was horrible (for both sides) and with Ted missing for three qtrs the backline really held up. Buddy stood up when it mattered and Joey showed how important an out he was for us last week with his inside work. I'm still not sold on Z. Jones though people! He was missing in the first half and while admittedly better in the 2nd half, I'm not sure that we wouldn't be a better team with either Harry Marsh or Nic Newman back there. Hard to change a winning formula though so we'll see!

Smith killed Cyril until Rioli moved into the centre when he was very dangerous. Would be interesting to see a Swans player with serious speed e.g. Rohan play out of the centre square - what he can do if he gets the ball in the middle

I'm sure you have the exact numbers, but wasn't his first two years under the 1.1 mark for salary cap purposes. It's propably 1.2 or 1.3 a year from here until the end of his contract.

Mills has excellent closing speed for a defender and ended up matched up on Gunston a couple of times. He came through that baptism very well.

Hewitt has class, time and poise. Delivered well by foot.

Rohan showed why he will never be given up on. Great come back game.

Tippett was pivotal and Rampe must now be in all Australian contention.

The Hawks really are a triumvirate of Hodge, Roughead and Mitchiell. Two of those guys were out and Mitchell was quiet. If all three of those guys had played then we would have lost.
Father time is just catching up with Ted, it happens to us all but I do think we will resist the temptation, and I hope he does too, to go on one year too far.

Agree re Rohan. I have a bad habit of under-rating players who have been out injured (I was a bit negative on McGlynn too) but that was a brilliant breakout game. I tend to see him a rebounding half back flanker but with his speed you'd have to consider him up forward with Heeney and Buddy.

Rampe is definitely in AA form, his development is nothing short of amazing. Agree re Tippett too, he is an absolute workhorse and he contributed on the scoreboard too.

Hewett is still young and I expect he will still continue to drift a bit in and out of games for the next year or so but there is something there that is quality. I think it is his composure more than anything, can see him being a 10 year player for us

It always puzzles me how Eddy "Chins" McGuire refers to Buddy as the Bondi Billionaire, when Chins himself is pulling in an absolute mint. That man makes me sick to my stomach. A blight on the game for sure. But I digress...

Great game from the Swans tonight, a much needed palate cleanser after last weeks effort. So many contributors. But can we beat North next week at home?

That was terrific wasn't it. I'll take wins like that every day of the week. Great effort from lots of players.

When did Ling turn into such a Hawks fanboy? Too much time hanging around with the others.

It's a staggered deal. You can google the exact details. I think years 1 and 2 were $800K and then this year and next he is about $1.2 a year. He spikes at $1.8m a year in years 5 and 6 I think and then tails off at the end a bit for the last three years.

A calculated gamble on the salary cap going north which it certainly will, we just don't know by how much
