I don't think I have seen a Roos game this year so I can't really comment about their back six/seven but surely Buddy, Tippo/Sinclair, Heeney, Rohan and a Parker or McVeigh must be big challenge for any defence.
I know that Tarrant and Thompson are quality tall defenders, Firrito used to be good but didn't look great, good but not great, from what I remember of last year.
Yes, I do think that their defenders are going to struggle for pace against our forwards. Thompson should be able to keep up with the resting rucks. But I think Tarrant will struggle with Buddy, and then there's probably the real mismatches. That is, Hansen and Firrito attempting to keep up with Rohan and Heeney. Good luck with that.

Yes, but that number includes the dark days of the early nineties. I expect the win loss ratio for this century is a fair bit healthier.

I just answer the questions as they are stated I'm sure you're right.

IMO, it's the pivotal battle which will go a long way to deciding the winner.

Also critical is for Sinclair to step up, it will make Tippo's job a whole lot easier.
Yes, definitely a critical match up. Certainly need to nullify Goldstein's ability to give his midfielders clear first use of the football. And especially don't want plenty of quick ball coming out of the centre, to their tall marking targets.

Yes, I certainly wasn't trying to set you an interminable statistical task.

          Not a problem; 44 / 149 = 29.5% so yes, much better.

I agree with that, but I think you'll find a swell of discontent if it happens.
Swans will try and have him last till the end of the year and bow out gracefully if it comes to that.

Very likely we will play a loose defender tomorrow. The question is who will it be. Rampe or Laidler are the usual suspects but looks like they'll have their hands full. Will Marsh be asked to perform this important role on debut?

But he's in his 4th season and probably knows what he's in for. He reads the play well and has good closing speed. He can play on talls or smalls. I feel Allir would struggle against experienced players that are good on the lead and have a number of tricks to get those first few steps on an opponent.
On balance, I think it was the best selection. We really didn't have much to choose from given that we are coming up against a tall forward line and had to bring in someone who could at at least make a go of it against taller opposition. I noted that Matt Dea played on Ben Brown for a part of the game last week. He's shorter and slower than Harry, but did okay on Brown. Harry's been our best ressies player over the past 2 seasons, so he deserves a chance to prove himself at senior level.

Mills is more likely than Marsh to play the loose man

Yes, I'm also quite pleased that Marsh is debuting. From the little bit of reserves football that I've seen this season, he seems to be playing well and he seems to have a good football brain. I also think that it's a good reward for persisting after long term injury and delisting.

Goldstein is the key, tippo can't run with him and neither can Sinclair. If he runs from stoppages up fwd, we might be caught out. Hopefully the backs are aware and block his run. It will be won in the middle. My bet, kj to get of the leash. Don't unnderestimate Harry's role, he tagging well with out being recognised.
As long as he beats his assignment horse will be happy.
