Ugg, do you think he's up to it? I'm still worried about debut selections after the Hiscox debacle which may have cost up four points!

He's more ready than Hiscox was. Three and a half years in the NEAFL and currently the reserves captain, he should be familiar with our game plan and structures

Yes has played a ton of footy. Every game from 5 to 22 counts about footy knowledge. Swans will ask a simple role. Beat your man, win the ball, move it as quickly asap and then spread.

Fair play - you were right, mate. Hope Marsh goes great. He seems pretty disciplined.

All these first gamers, such a revelation for us Swans fans....

It's such fun watching these rookies get their first run. (Even the failed Hiscox selection showed us something...he's clearly not ready)

But what makes it really fun, is that it's not desperation from a loosing team, and it's not just shuffling the deck chairs for the sake of it.

Marsh looks to of earned his call up with hard work and consistent NEAFL form.

Can't wait to see what he brings to the table.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

Our old mate Gerard Healy was very impressed with his pre season appearances. He has a good long kick doesn't he ?

The great thing about all the debutantes this year is there is no bloody sub rule and we get to see what they have to offer instead of them sitting on the pine for 3 quarters and coming on late with little to no chance of showing anything...

Hiscox and Parker had the same number of disposals on debut! It's too soon to give up hope!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Marsh has a very strong mark and strong kick

when he was 18yrs he appeared very physical and attacking

since then he probably only broke out last year but for me he has all the attributes now and just needs to impose himself on this game via beating his opponent !!!!

which i truly believe he can do

I think he will do well - a tough game to come in tonight, but he is also playing for his career as well (be that at the Swans or elsewhere). I do think there is a potential spot for him going forward in our back 6, especially with this trend towards more medium sized defenders that can play tall rather than out and out tall defenders - fingers crossed he has a good debut tonight.

How great is it though that we've had 6 debutants this season but we are 7-2 after 9 rounds!

+1. Best thing was the abolition of sub rule.
