How many free kicks are they getting and how many short kicks less than 15 aren't being called out of their defence? This is disgusting to watch and a blight on the AFL.

Considering how much North had to play for and how one sided the umpiring had appeared to be this has been a good hit out. Almost finals like in intensity which is what we need at this time of the season. Most importantly four points and top of the ladder .

Yes and another positive: we now seem to be better at closing out tight games.

Pretty sure the strategy of not kicking it to Towers paid off in the last few minutes too Even I think he didn't deserved to be pinned for the deliberate OOB.

The number of times I saw Joey and Parker being held without the ball, with no consequences from the umpires is making my blood boil!

Wow, that was a tight one......but we're on top with only a 1.8% deduction, but Adelaide (1.2% behind us) could have something to say about that. Go Port.....and Lions!!

Yes a very gutsy last quarter effort. That's what the Bloods are all about. Well done.

Thanks for coming Norf. Only 9 days now until your mad Monday.

It's good to win a game when you've been outplayed. I thought we closed out the game well. It was a dour affair. A few of our guys who have played reasonably well of late had poor games, particularly Dean and Harry. We let them get far too much of those contested balls in the middle of the ground and kick to their big leading targets. We've lost a lot of these close ones this year, so again, it was good to get away with the win.

After quarter time both of them were held by one arm when running to a contest. But North did tighten up on them both and didn't provide them with much space. I noticed how the loss of Jack reduced our run through the midfield.

Big effort to hang on late - we held on well under immense pressure. North wasted some chances but so did we.

It wasnt pretty but all that matters is we got the 4 points - a huge result in the scheme of things! Going to be a good night in hobart town!

Not quite what I was expecting after the first 20 minutes or so, but good to see them guts out a win. A couple of those deliberate OOB calls were ridiculous to say the least. Remain impressed by the cool heads that our youngsters continue to show, even when it gets tight. Aliir was cool as a cucumber in the second half, while Richards and Hewitt had some important touches when it counted. Meanwhile Mills has claims to be best on ground with his defensive marking and flawless use of the ball.
