I've been really impressed with the past 3 weeks. We've come up against 3 finals aspirants all of whom were playing in must win games and we knocked all 3 of them on the head.

If results from here go as expected we could be playing hawthorn in week 1 of the finals out at homebush. I don't think we have reason to fear them. Bigger concerns for us would be Adelaide and GWS (though presently the Giants are struggling). The other concern could be homebush stadium.

I thought Alir was ok. Had a lot more pressure on the back line than recent weeks and he was very cool in the second. As the commentators said during the game; North was isolating him one out, thinking that he was a weakness in defence.

Rohan a much more consistent game. Could have gone another 20 metres running into goal in the last Q.
Tippett will be much better for the run.
Mitchell had a top last Q.
Mills is a bird for the Rising Star Medal.
Good, almost error free game by Hanners. He has really improved his disposal and set shots.
Grundy gave it to Petrie once again.
That was Harvey's best game against us that I can recall and he and Wells kept them in it.

I don't think Aliir was 'found out.' He was certainly challenged and needed to recalibrate, which he did. A quieter overall game than what we've seen in recent weeks but hardly warranting a spell in the twos.

ANOTHER MYSTERY SOLVED BY NEUROSCIENCE.

On the scan below, we can see a small problem with the brain of umpire Schmitt. On the left side of the scan and highlighted in blue, is the area of his brain that is responsible for giving free kicks against the Swans. While on the right, is the area that awards frees to the Swans. Some of the missing area has some responsibility for things like personality and sensory perception.

Not helping your hypothesis of needing experience unless having played ten or so more games counts.
Also check out the stats for the game. AA was one of our top tacklers and out scored some of our superstars in fantasy points. He showed poise to come back from a challenging start.
I will agree that Mills is something special however.

Yes, Adelaide is the team that I would prefer to avoid. Maybe the Giants, but only because it would annoy me to be playing a home final against them in western Sydney. Though ANZ with it's skinny dimensions could be advantageous, as they would have a bit less opportunity to hurt as on the fat side with their outside pace. Like our chances against Geelong, West Coast, or the mustard on turd. Not sure if the Bulldogs can make it, but I'd probably like to avoid them, as well?

Careful with the cocaine label ... we have an offender in our midst. Sydney Swans player Michael Talia charged with possession of cocaine but agree that it is an opportune moment to leap frog those Hawks.

What I took out was that the Swans allowed North players to make space and easy passes. North were also very accurate in their kicking.
The other side was that the Swans seemed to lack the desire to make position and find space - not sure if that was because they were picked up well of the Swans were just lackadaisical.

Naismith was huge today, he definitely takes the cake over Sinclair and I hope the match comittee think so too. Great to see Tippett out there playing well.
Buddy looked like an expensive decoy today, but fair enough after his hit to the ribs. Aliir possibly could come out for Teddy, he was found out today and looked too vulnerable and I wouldn't mind some experience back there.
Umpires were a @@@@ing disgrace. But should we be suprised? Over it.

Emphatically disagree about Aliir. He was targeted, he was beaten a few times one-on-one, but he refused to drop his head and he did some really nice things late in the game. He will learn a great deal from this game.
