XR linked to the Dogs. Perhaps we can get back the fourth round pick we traded out for Talia?

We are very unlikely to use a fourth rounder so a pick upgrade would be preferable. Dogs actually "owe" us, we did take Talia off their hands for free last year!

On hearing the Dogs news I'm now off to check out what picks they hold other than 18.

Is seems to me that the club wants to keep Towers and Brandon but not X and Naks???

Would rather the first to go than the second lot.

Seriously, how does Brandon get keep on our list where he doesn't play a single game??

At least X and Naks can improve, which is a lot more than Towers and Brandon.

We should have have keep Mitchell and move McVeigh on like the Hawks with there old stars.

Yet again we play favorites with our players instead of utter ruthlessly.

I notice Dan Hannebery favourited this tweet: Daniel Cherny ???? on Twitter: "Xavier Richards trade request is truly bizarre.".

Brandon Jack is contracted for 2017. Unless we desperately need the list space delisiting him wouldn't make any sense as we would still have to pay him

I'd rather we kept Nankervis, but I respectfully disagree with a lot of the rest of your post:
                1) We have to have a squad that is much larger than the first 22. Unless we have a disastrous run with injuries, some of the depth players are not going to get a game. I suspect its tougher than them that it is on the fans. BJ (and Towers) could still fill a place when required at AFL level and its essential that we have players like that.
                2) Geelong moved on a bunch of old stars and when we played them they still looked like a few good men surrounded by slow average players. I'd wait and see on Hawthorn.
                3) Yet again we made the finals. In fact we were minor premiers and made the grand final. Yet again we must be doing something right.

Xav would have gotten rental assistance.

The fact he has not nominated a club makes me think that this may be a ploy by his manager (who I think also manages Tom Mitchell) to flush out an extra $50,000 per year on his deal.

Good on him! He might be out the door, but he said the right thing for the club. "Cost of living is too high" sounds a lot better for the Swans than "they can't afford to pay me what I want".

Toby request to move to Richmond confirmed. Our ruck stocks are thinning quickly.

Expected but disappointed, hope we negotiate decent compensation there. Second and third round upgrade or a future second round pick for mine

Re X..... you'd imagine his brother not being at the club anymore may have effected his mindset a bit. It's hard to say. I thought he played pretty well for
basically the second half of the season and he made the 22 for the GF. That says something IMO. All this stuff re how much money a person needs to
live in Sydney is so subjective. Hopefully the club can find some more money for him and he'll stay.

Irrespective of what X has said, the COLA removal is starting to hit on our ability to retain players.

Not many grand final sides get 3 players requesting out straight afterwards: Mitchel, Nanker and X.

Bad time to move clubs for X I think, would've been a better move once he was more established in the seniors. I think he's had some bad advice
