I get the feeling that the lower picks, those without all the natural talent of the top 10, are already used to having to work hard to get to where they want to be in the game. Maybe they get to the Swans, who demand the best of everyone, which the lower picks are already used to giving, whilst it comes as a shock to those that have relied on talent more than others.
This is obviously a generalisation, and there are plenty of top picks who bust their arse, but it could be an explanation too. I know I have read somewhere a while ago that Kinnear does look beyond talent/skill to include a prospects determination to be their best.
