Can somebody start a Hawthorn trades thread for all the crying about Hawthorn trades to go rather than being on most of the other threads?

FWIW and I know this a swans site, but St Kilda now have two first round picks and no big salaries in next years trading period. They'll go chasing a massive name to complete their build

Plus 3 retirements are likely.. Martin, Fyfe would be the top targets obviously. Hopefully Heeney signs on before start of season

Nothing wrong with posting this in this thread. Just sick of seeing 50 billion references to Hawthorn (and all of the bastardised versions of their name) every time I visit RWO.
I don't hate them as much as I used to now, because they are just being bullied... and I don't want to hate them less....

Which is why Mitchell's deal is such a con.

Serioulsy, a player who is one of the best on ground in a GF going for one pick is a disgrace.

That and Dunkely, we didn't match his offer because he wanted to stayed in Melbourne, show what a bunch of pussies we are.

Also explain a good deal of why we have lost two GF in there years.

Need a sacking or two; I shall be posting again at the end of the trade period about whether we are getting better.

If not our football manager Harley needs to go!

I don't know why people persist with points gained. It is only relevant for FSons or academy players, 14 is still pick 14 for swans even is you add in the value of the swaps differential/

Yeah. Let's sack the people who got us to 3 grand finals in 5 years and replace them with people who do a lot better.

3 out of 5 sounds much nicer than 1 flag in last 10 finals appearances.

I would really like us to consider trading Tippett to GC (assuming they actually want him).

For one thing...The coin he's reputedly on (conservatively, somewhere between 800-900k pa) is way overs.

He's a very good player, when fit, during home and away games..But...

As far as I can remember (happy to be corrected) he is yet to be among our best players in a final, let alone dominate one....

And that's where you need these big high paid guys to stamp their authority.

The benefits of cap relief plus the player/s or high draft pick/s would ,IMO, outweigh the loss.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

And also a lot more balanced and accurate.

Yeah, having watched us in 6 GF's and witnessed 4 losses, it's getting a bit tired, but I'm sure it's no picnic for our players either. Time for them to square the ledger while the window's wide open!

St Kilda are really doing a good job with their rebuild under Richardson, if I was a Sainters fan I'd be very happy with how things are ticking along.

This year they have Steele and Stevens to add a bit of depth to their midfield, Steele I think is a very good signing. Plus they have Jake Carlisle to come back.

Then next year they have two first rounders and a good crack at a high priced free agent. I still think they are a year away from really having a genuine crack but they'll be able to genuinely feel a spot at the bottom of the 8 is not beyond them next year.

Plus they got a win from the Hawks in that panic trade that offloaded their Picks 23 and 36 which should also get them a couple of decent players

                            Both equally accurate.

Hasn't really had a decent run at it. He nearly single-handedly carried the Crows to a Grand Final in 2012 against Hawthorn.

I'm sick of hearing about that one and only game in 2012.

For the coin he is on, he needs to lift and win a lot more games off his own boot, just like Buddy does.
