Really good article by Roy Masters in The Age and, presumably, Sydney Morning Herald. only someone outside the Melbourne AFL media bubble could write such an article exposing image conscious, arrogant and shallow AFL management. appreciate if someone else could post link - not sure if I can do it.Comment

It was the last time I ever watched the Footy Show. I was furious because during this period Newman was staunchly defending James Hird over the Essendon drug saga but yet thought Goodes was guilty of causing upheaval.Comment

Was that when Newman called Goodes a "Jerk" with the audience breaking into applause?

I couldn't tell you when it was from, although he did appear THREE times saying derogatory things.
He's an awful excuse for a person.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

at the time (well, presumably they are not still together) tried to run him down with her car in the driveway of their house.
Look, it's probably not funny really, but for some reason it sprung to mind while I was watching "The Final Quarter" on

Yes, he makes some good points but it largely appears to be another envy driven 'rugby league is better than AFL' argument.....which is typical of Masters. He could be accused here of taking advantage of an embarrassing period for the AFL to perform some 'NRL one up man-ship'.....but the AFL do need to be publicly embarrassed on this subject.Comment
