Tippett hasnt played a decent game since his injury.
But Tippet requires a Geelong player on him at all times - so maybe the Geelong backs cannot break away so easily?

It feels kinda wrong when David King is thinking asking the same lines as yourself isn't it?
Tippo is the better option, but only when for and firing. The March committee must also be thinking ahead. If Tippo makes it through will he, and the team, be much better for it? Who would be the better match against the winner of Dogs Giants?

Tippett is a better ruckman than Nankervis - fact. Tippett at FF requires one of the best Geelong defenders because he is a genuine and dangerous target, Nankervis does not look like taking a FF mark even without drawing a top defender.

So we don't need to worry about the lesser quality ruck work when Tippett is relieving Naismith. At FF Tippett provides a much better go to target than Nankervis, this is the target that Papley and McGlynn work under. No brainer, Tippett must play.

As for David King's comment - he's wrong!

          My changes:

          In: Cunningham, Tippett
          Out: McVeigh (Inj), Nankervis

Jones hasn't played enough senior footy lately so would be too risky. Cunningham is the natural replacement for McVeigh.

Towers for Rohan if Garry doesn't get up. He played extremely well in the QF against Fremantle last year.

Nankervis incredibly unlucky and it hurts to drop him. Part of me feel his physical presence is essential and I would love all 3 big guys in the side, though I know they won't go that way.

I don't think anyone is arguing he isn't, when fit. The trouble is if/when he goes off we are short a ruck and sub.
Then again knowing he has a fractured jaw the Cats may target him and he might get a lot of high contact free kicks?

Tippo almost won a PF singlehandedly for the Crows a few years ago at the MCG. Not that he's doing so well at the moment but surely if he can get up for the game we pick him???

Nank is very unlucky but if Tippett is fit, you've got to back him in. I don't think they offer enough collectively to play all 3 of them.

The Cats are throwing the magnets around after last time.

Cant see them defending our front half without him in the backline

                        Nank or Nai?
Stiff to either of them but if Tippett's fit he plays
                        Personally I'd go Nank

Cunningham is too soft for finals footy.

Looks about the same as an out of form tippet.

At least he can tackle, unlike Towers.

Two of those games he was injured and aside from that he's been coming back from injury so I'm not sure this is a surprise.
