Surely Laidler has to keep his spot with Allir gone - given he is an excellent intercept mark and at a pinch could play a role on a bigger guy for a while. Allir and a very unlucky Marsh for Mills and McVeigh.

Sorry, a bit harsh, but that's just the way it is.
Not harsh at all Annie. That is the way it is. Benny and Gaz are two that come to mind.

Hanners not so much as he was taken out early and spent the game in a daze. And Buddy did his job on the day. But all the rest. If they win this year it will go a long way towards redemption - it's amazing that the chance has come around so soon.

Marsh has to stay in -- He can play on a short or a tall similar to Allir, Allir (but not as good) and I thought at times Laidler looked a little lost down back on occasions and panicked with his kicking.

I thought marsh was the one that got caught holding the ball once too many times. Laidler has more experience and for me is doing the Marty mattner role out there.
            Out: allir, marsh
            In: McVeigh, mills

I saw Benny outside the club today.
I told him that I hope everyone brings their ruthless footy with them, because no one deserves a shiny medal more than he.
              He was stoked.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

At least twice, just a smidgen too slow to release the handball.

XR is a lock in our forward line. Together with Papley they've fixed up our forward structure which has been a constant issue for the past couple of years.

Hear, hear. If it aint busted don't fix it.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Mcveigh's speed, or lack of , well be badly exposed by dogs and MCG. Marsh stays.

Agree......I too think this is what will happen. Bad luck for Harrison (and Aliir!).....

Laidler needs to stay in for his intercept marking. Also, he's more likely to deal with the pressure than Marsh. Re Marsh playing as a third tall last week: do we need three tall defenders against the Bulldogs?

His experience is more important on GF day........
