He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

If Macca breaks down during the game, he'll relinquish the co-captaincy next year even if we're premiers.

The more likely scenario is that Mills breaks down. Should he retire if he does?

No, why would Mills retire at the start of his career? McVeigh's is very much a captains call but we can trust him. I think he'll play well.

The difference is people put money where there mouth is, whereas the punters have nothing to lose because nothings at stake. So they vote with their idiotic hearts.

Didn't break down but didn't move well either. Couldn't or wouldn't the result is the same. Marsh wasn't great last week so hoped for an upgrade but was much of a muchness in the end. We'll see if Macca retains the co-captaincy next year.

You can add Tippo to that list...He was one of our worst.

Buddy only escapes censure due to injury.

Which basically means, McVeigh sucked, and our Forwards sucked.

                          Tippo was our 7th worst

The Herald Sun Player Ratings scored Macca a 7, the same as Smithy, Hanners, NS, Jack and Heeney. However, Travis King on AFL.com scored him a 4 along with Buddy, Laidler and Papley! A lowly 3 for McGlynn, KT, Richards and Hewett with Rohan a 2 (which was very harsh). There were a few very strange ratings on both lists but how does Travis King explain the fact that we were neck and neck with the Doggies until the last few minutes of the game if 9 of our players didn't rate a pass mark! Not very credible.
