Laidler is a genuine feel good story in all of this, honest toiler at his third club. A good friend of mine is a Blues fan who is genuinely stoked to see Laidler in with a chance at a medal, he has always been of the impression that Jeremy must have talked back to Mick once when Mick was being a dick (as Mick likes to be) and BOOM, that was it.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

I'm also glad that laids is in as I think he's got the mongrel that we need in the back line. Him and jones will not be intimidated. Pair that with buddy mcglynn up front and our midfield I think that is important in such a big game as the grand final.Comment

The easiest mental imagery I have ever formed!Laidler is a genuine feel good story in all of this, honest toiler at his third club. Right calls. Even if McVeigh is a risk physically, mentally he is super important out on the field.
All reports say Callum trained the house down for a week, and you just know he will do a Goodes and run around on one leg with 10min to go, if he tears the hammie off the bone.
Marsh is very unlucky, but experience has to count for something. I think he was tapering off in the last game after a few good weeks earlier, and Laids deserves a shot at a Premiership. Sure he is a poor man's AA, but he is still a very good intercept mark when playing well.Comment

I'm happy with the Ins and agree with Marsh as the player to make way. Gutting for any player to have to go through this but I'm sure if you said to him at the start of the year that he'd play in the seniors in two winning finals he'd have considered that a great year coming off the rookie list and not having played a senior game in three years.
I expect they'll give both these guys a final fitness test of Saturday morning where they will be run at 100% full tilt and really given every chance to break down so I'd still be getting a good night sleep if I was Harry or HarryComment

I hate it how Bulldogs supporters on social media keep bringing up the fact they beat GWS who beat us, and therefore it 'proves' they're a better team. Geelong beat them convincingly twice this year and we decimated Geelong twice; does this mean we're a better team?Comment

All the sweeter when we beat them on Saturday

If that sort of logic constantly held up, then most of the Australian population would be professional punters.Comment
