      OK, that makes more sense.
Pretty sure a Swans gave one away in 2005 as well.

LOL and don't forget Maker too. Whoops. Who will be the poor third Aussie player in a week?

Both captains poor today, McVeigh 14 disposals and Jack went missing in the last qtr.

Beveridge, who by now must be rated the best coach in the League, gave his medal to Bob, I guess in recognition of his work as a temporary assistant coach and for the weight of his influence, which in my view bears comparison with what we got from Brett Kirk.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

                Mills wasn't amongst our worst.

Richards, Rohan, McGlynn, Hewitt all played below Mills. Possibly Laidler too.

There was a time when, at 3/4 time, paul roos sent his captain over to the umpires to tell them the biased free kick count.
                  I miss those times.

Jack took a pounding today, he took a lot of hits during the match. I only rue his two missed shots at goal as one or both would have really helped.

So disappointing, we just didnt have another gear when needed in the last quarter

I wont say too much about the umpiring as i dont need to - it didnt change the result but i wonder with a closer to 50/50 free kick what the score might have been like at 3/4 time. A grand total of 4 free kicks to 3/4 time in such an intense and even game like that , while not entirely suprising given our opposition, does make you wonder.

Such a disappointing end to such a fantastic season for our bloods - we will be back but its frustrating to be found out on the day that matters.

Mills had a shocker. I dont blame him, he's just under prepared.

Mcglynn. Usual. Remove his richmond game in round 23, and it just BAU.

Rohan quiet. Hes a bit soft.

                        Richards. Reid should have played.

The sad thing, is that we're growing accustomed to losing on Grand Final day....

Too many passengers, too much left to too few and understandably they crumbled at the end.

I loved that in the 2005 PF against St Kilda. What a message it sent to the team. 10 minutes later we'd kicked 7 goals and were into the GF
