Points taken on Mackenzie. Never been a massive fan myself...
I just know a friend of his dad. I'm told that he did all asked of him in the reserves and still no elevation.
Also he was playing to the gameplan when kicking long.

I don't think i will ever be sold on Towers (tigers loss still haunts me) although he improved markedly in the second half of the season

I think you're being a little unfair on the coaching panel.

For the middle part of the season, the team did play with one ruckman - Naismith. Sinclair and Tippett both found themselves in the NEAFL side (when Tippett wasn't in the rehab room, that is). When Naismith got injured, both Sinclair and Tippett returned but I reckon that is because the coaches didn't think either could ruck on his own. Once Naismith returned late in the season, they very quickly reverted to the one ruckman structure. Sinclair stayed in the team but he was played as a forward, with barely any time in the ruck. Against the Saints and Bombers he showed he could be an effective forward but against stronger defences and with the midfield battling, he struggled. He did ruck a bit in the SF but only when the coaches were throwing players all over the ground (eg Mills into the middle, McVeigh forward, Rohan / Reid back) to see if they could do anything to spark the team to function better.

The rule which deems ruckmen grabbing the ball at ball-ups as having had prior possession is now officially redundant and working against genuine ruck contests.

I was at the game and thought Adelaide did very well in clearances with Jacobs v Griggs. Jacobs did tire in the last quarter which was when Nankervis stood out more. Thought Jacobs towelled up Toby in first half. Media gets carried away with everyone in the winning team.

Brilliant! I hope they sold an important role to him and he nominates us as his club of choice! I just cant see how he can't become a great player for us if his body holds up! He's at the right age to play his best footy in a mature team ready for another tilt at a flag!
