Looks like Four Corners is seeing a story on Tim, according to the AFR.
"Word from inside the board is that Mostyn, and at least two other board members, have made no secret of their distaste for the indulgence that Worner has been shown by his various sponsors and supporters. Most especially, they are said to be unimpressed with the allegations of drug-taking and the nature of some of the text messages he sent while conducting his affair with former Seven employee, Amber Harrison.

Just read up on the Swans Directors on the club website.

Surprised that Tom Harley appears to report to Brad Seymour rather than Andrew Ireland.

(P.S. Not surprised that the club website is not up to date - no mention of Sam Mostyn being a director.)

The Worner issue continues, Caro reports:

Pressure builds on Tim Worner's position on Sydney Swans board
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

The title should by "Caro tries to build pressure on Tim Warners position on the Sydney Swans board" just another muckraker like Sheahen. Him trying to make out to be the dear old grandad on Open Mike makes me sick to the stomach when he was a mouthpiece for the AFL in the attempted killing off of Fitzroy.

A successful attempt I would have thought.

If what she reports is true - that Worner hasn't felt able to attend board meetings or club functions for the last few months - I suggest his position on the board is untenable. That's putting aside any moral judgements on his actions. If he believes feels his actions are restricting his activities as a board member, he isn't able to fulfil that function.

                          Agree Liz

Is it possible he Skype'd or tel conferenced in on the board meetings ?

I do this all the time for board meetings due to distances and travel

Sorry no it wasn't. Although the AFL want you to believe Fitzroy merged with the bears the fact is they didn't. The Bears took the Fitzroy colours, mascot & records. The truth is they didn't merge they still live on in the Victorian amateurs. Another Piece of AFL propaganda that's a lie. The Brisbane Lions are just the Brisbane Bears rebadged. No I'm not a former Fitzroy supporter.

The thing is I hardly believe a thing that comes from the Melbourne media anymore. It's either AFL driven, has a conflict of interest or is a complete fabrication. Perfect example is the Essendon "supplements" saga.

I meant the successful killing of Fitzroy from the top level competition. I do understand that Fitzroy Football Club still exists today.
