I dont care what anyone here says about Towers but he is 100% harder at it than Cunningham, would prefer Towers to Cunningham every day.
Cheers

i love the game of AFL, but I hate it when my enjoyment is stolen by umpires who , are too scared to umpire fairly, or are too incompetent to interpret the rules fairly, or are corrupt.
The Swans are often on the wrong side of this, too often.
The AFL is stealing my money, my time and is fast losing my loyalty.
I have paid my membership for well over a decade now, I went to the MCG last year for the prelim, but if this ridiculous biased umpiring continues, I will be curtailing my AFL involvement and spending heavily. I will seriously consider whether to continue being interested in the game at all.
I am speaking as a Swans supporter of course. But I enjoy watching games involving other clubs also. I have seen too many of those games decided by ridiculous umpiring decisions too.
This is an issue in a sport which is supposedly the national game. A sport which involves millions of dollars of expenditure, a sport which is supposed to be professional.
Is there any other professional sport in the world (other than cricket, which has been proven to be corrupt many times) Where the umpiring or refereeing is such an issue.? This is a serious question. Do supporters have these problems in NFL or NBL for example?
The AFL needs to get this stupidity sorted out. It is unprofessional and unacceptable to have a 31-18 free kick count. There is definitely something wrong here.Comment

Positives:
The youngsters; Hayward, Florent and Newman were great but ran out of legs as you would expect. Hayward and Florent will be automatic selections next year.
Reid showed what he is capable of if he can remain injury free.
Negatives:
The umpiring was absolute bull@@@@ yet again. That's two matches in a row against the dogs that have been determined by the umpires. At least this one wasn't a GF.
Aliir, Jack, Parker and Hanners are lacking form. Hopefully that will develop.
Cunningham and Towers should never play in the seniors again. There is no room for softc@cks in our team.Last edited by S.S. Bleeder; 31 March 2017, 10:09 PM.Comment

Yeh Cunningham just frustrates me. As big a momentum shift as that ridiculous call against Mills was, the Cunningham stuff up the minute before was just as bad. What annoyed me was he didn't even manage to make a contest of it - just showed a complete lack of awareness. Yes the wankatelli is a bigger guy and had momentum, but Cunningham could have done something - as it was it was basically an uncontested mark."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

With AFL the rules are up to interpretation. Holding the ball, marking the ball and hand balling properly are all indidualy interpreted.
I would love the coaches to have a challenge mechanism, where they could video challenge umpiring decisions that lead to goals against them. Maybe have one challenge per quarter. I'mComment

Just imagine how happy we would be if the free kicks in the last two games were reversed.
20-8 in GF and 31-18tonight.
That's a 51-26 differential. The Bulldogs get 2 frees for every 3 paid. We would be premiers and victors tonight if we receded that sort of favoratism.Comment
