Positives only

Glad none of the wooden spoons are red or white. Positives are mills is back, sam Reid looked good down back, heeney was quite but moved well, showing no effects from GF. But the most positive, we are on the bottom of the ladder and we are 41 dollars to win the flag. Showed a glimpse of what we are capable of in the first five minutes, but we had to ease off to get a good price. Now it starts! Let's put the theory to the test. Anyone game?

I thought Cunningham tried really hard and secondly had a lot more venom in his tackling and intensity
Played all over the ground with his run with roles"be tough, only when it gets tough"

Positives - we had a tough fixture to start the season, but from here it is easier.
Carlton away and Brisbane at home should both be winnable.
North Melbourne away is next - the only other team without a win but they have lost multiple games by under a goal against strong opposition. This match could go either way.
St Kilda away and Hawthorn at home are also winnable but these are not gimme games.
These games are arranged in roughly ascending order of difficulty...
After the season we should get a single-figure draft pick. We have only "earned" one of those twice this century.
And the last thing to be positive about - we weren't stupid enough to gamble trading away a future first-round draft pick."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

For me, one of the greatest positives so far this year is the prospect of a courageous young man playing footy sometime within the next month or two, after four years of heartache. I reckon I'm more nervous for AJ than I am about our position on the ladder.Comment

I've said before and I'll say it again - I'll take a poor season if we see AJ back on the park playing footy again - that would make up for what is looking pretty grim in the broader context of the AFL ladder."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Not sure where to put this post. The Dogs showed that (at least last season) grand finals can be won by anyone in the 8, so playing finals might not just be making up the numbers.
But if we were to miss finals, would we rather finish 9th or 18th? (With the obvious positive of finishing last)Comment

Michael Gleeson in the Age claims he's playing reserves this week. Seems too soon to be true but ....
