One thing is confirmed, holding the ball doesnt exist no more. Neither does incorrect disposal. Unless it very obvious. I like it, but its killing us.

Just noticed that a couple of the sock puppets who write on the AFL site, have both written about the Gary Rohan injury, but neither mentioned the fact, that none of the umpires seemed to think that having the medicab on the field, was any reason to stop play. Surely such a flagrant breach of convention was worth mentioning? Or are they just giving the umpires the benefit of the doubt and assuming that none of them noticed a player lying motionless on the ground and a reasonably large vehicle driving on the MCG? Grrrrr!

I know the players are on the ground, but what are the selectors thinking knowing tippert was injured and bring 3 mids as emergencies and sacrifice sam in the ruck. We basically had no talls forward with buddy roaming far and wide. We will loose sam next year if we continue to play him in the ruck. a fwd he is and was going well ala v scrays and now making it hard. Longmire needs to explain their thinking by not playing Cameron. Something has to be up playing without conviction and heart. BJs card needs to be stamped he had a chance to get us closer and panicked.

Does anyone think maybe the appointment of JPK was wrong? He doesnt seem to be a good captian and the thing with McVeigh and Jack the last few years they were massive chatters on the field and always organising the players. JPK doesnt do that.

Great players but Captain he is not.

The AFL is run like a country league with a billionares budget.

            is this true?
That 'story', spread widely on BF, has been around since the day after the GF. Although I see it has now escalated to 'a massive fight' - the original story was a two man spat. No credible source that any of it happened.

Apparently having the stretcher on the ground does not mean automatic stop of play anymore, they can wait until the ball is in an area where play can be stopped or something like that. My argument is the umpires are obviously as we know a bunch of idiots as they make wrong decisions all the time, yet when a player is obviously knocked out and possibly paralysed they stick to the rule instead of erring on the side of caution. The umpires let play continue, despite Carlton?s Alex Silvagni reportedly yelling for the game to be stopped, with Rohan lying on the turf motionless. No wonder the players are hanging out for a bigger slice of the pie as they are one injury away from never playing again or even walking or working again. Sure as hell if that was me and the AFL was getting the millions from TV rights and lining their own pockets I would hang out for more money.

And the media is in the AFL's pockets - scared to say what they really think.

Where are you 'reading' that? Would be a real disappointment if that were true but would go a long way to explaining what we're seeing at the moment. If it indeed is true, we are going to be stuffed for a long time............

As I said above - it's a BIg Footy story. Do you believe what is posted on BF?

There's been no mention of Carlton here?

Like were they much better than expected ?
Can you imagine how much we would improve if we brought Kreuzer, Gibbs, Murphy and Silvagni into the side? They were much better than last week.

If you can bring yourself to watch the replay you will see him try to chase on at least 2-3 occasions where he looked like he was running in treacle. Maybe he was just tired.

I hadn't read your post before I posted mine. .....and no, I don't believe everything on BF. In fact, i haven't gone there since I got banned for calling the Hawks the 'Poos and Wees' after the 2014 GF (check my RWO 'join date'.). BF doesn't deserve my patronage......

So whats the problem, we are not a bad side. It is attitude or has horse lost the players.

Its been posted online in a few places and mentioned elsewhere by the media. Some of the biggest rumours and scandals i have heard first online and on BF before the media broke them.Tippett seems like the type of guy who winning a GF is not the end of the world, some players are like that, many are not. So i kinda think its very true. But not the all in brawl part, dont think that happened.

I thought the whole circumstance was exceptionally poorly handled - its a bit of a joke to see a medicab racing onto the field but the game continuing.

Regards the rumoured 'Tippet/Grundy spat' since it's such public knowledge surely the coaches would have had plenty of time to deal with such a petty personnel management issue.
