Pleased to say my ticket is being well used by another RWOer. Thanks for good wishes, I'll be watching from my tissue-strewn bed. Cheer cheer, Go Swans!

+1. Except for the pie.Yeah, it's funny. I am a Victorian, living in SA (sadly, soon I'll have lived longer in SA than I did in Vic, but I'll always be a Victorian)) supporting a Sydney team (people in SA often find this concept difficult to grasp ... or why I don't just support a SA team).
But that's the point, I support a team. The Swans could move to Saturn & I'd be supporting the Saturn Swans. Or if, goodness forbid, they become extinct, I'll likely support no one. I'd still follow footy, but probably wouldn't support another team.
If the Swans bow out of the finals before the big dance or don't make the finals, I get back to working my weekends and paying vague attention to what's happening in the AFL world and trying to get home from work on Grand Final day in time to inattentively watch 2 teams I care little about on TV slog it out at the MCG, while trying to find Swans articles to read in the grand final footy record, eating a hot pie from the comfort of my couch.Comment

They just really remind me of the dogs. Fairytale story, crazy bandwagoning/vic fanaticism and that quick game style that really tears us open. We'll have to wait and see about the umpiring ...
If we even made it to the GF and we were playing Richmond I'd be feeling very nervous and low on confidence as compared to any other teamComment

It's the only time I really eat a pie. It's my grand final ritual (or sausage rolls, or something not healthy). But I always buy the footy record from the news agents and sit there (usually in Swans gear) surround sound on so it's immersive.
Right lunch break over and time to go home & get into some Swans gear to watch the boys with Goswannette. Good luck everyone!!Comment

I don't give WestCoke any chance of beating GWS or Richmond. Let's hope Port ramen home an emphatic win.Comment
