Won't matter how we react from the loss - that is our season cooked. Probably need to go 10-2 from here to have any hope of finals. We stuffed up a close one against Collingwood, we stuffed up a close one tonight, we led late against the Dogs. We suck in games that are tight close.

Mills should be criticised, as should his teammates. He had acres of space, more than enough time to steady and kick at least a point, if not a goal. It really wasn't good enough from someone that is far better than that. Elementary error, but he should have been helped by his team mates.

That's harsh on Reid. He was concussed and didn't have a chance to have an influence. We missed Lloyd's possessions big time.

Excuses, excuses, excuses it has to stop. Hawthorn have beaten us the same way yet again despite the fact that their older players are creaking and over the hill. Forget the umpires, they didn't give them an additional 65 marks. When will Longmire get the players to man up on Hawthorn, every other team that has beaten them has stopped their uncontested marking, without it they can't win.

Time for a complete mindset rebuild. Longmire must go, he is a one trick pony. After 0-6 start he had every opportunity to try new things but simply can't.

Did anyone not think Hawthorn was coming to play that way!!!!

Hawthorn were due to win one. You can't just throw the switch and win everything. We can still do it (said the mathematician)!

Buddys game deserved a win.. Imagine the scoreline without him.

              And Adelaide.
              Why don't we??
Because there are no NSW umpires.

That's because our fans are too timid and polite. Look at all the teams that have always been treated favourably; WC, Hawks, Saints, etc. All their fans are feral and vocal and either sway or intimidate the umpires.

The boys did well to come back with 2 sidelined players. Shame about Mills, but that's footy. He'll learn and be a better player for it. Next year is our year.

Yeah I saw that nico and almost swallowed my glass. We got more frees? I can only assume from my disbelief that:

                    - theirs were in crucial positions resulting in goals, and
                    - theirs were in crucial positions denying us goals, and
                    - ours were paid in totally useless places

Honestly I know I'm totally biased being a swannies fan but still... feel...

Horrible game - which is somewhat mitigated by us losing Lloyd and Reid. But only just.

Both sides are @@@@ - hard to describe them any other way. I give up for a few weeks - stuff em

Exactly! We are pathetic and mentally weak in the close games. People laugh at Richmond (deservedly so) but I would argue that we are worse than them in that area considering they got us in a close one last year!

Nobody to blame for this but ourselves... We had a really poor start and when we got momentum we let them kick 3 goals in a row in junk time...We only had two on the bench, so we probably ran out of legs....still, they are professional footballers, they should be able to cope with that...

We were 20 points down at one stage, so it was a credible come back and they didn't stop trying...So perhaps let's look at this as a rebuild year and hope for the best next year.

What odds do you want Bodgie?

We have to go 9-3 at least, if not 10-2 over the last twelve games to even have a hope. We still have GWS away, Adelaide in Adelaide and Geelong down at the toilet of Melbourne - and that's without thinking about other teams that beat us consistently like the Dogs, Ninthmond, Hawks again. We are no hope.

What he was thinking was "I just missed a crucial kick for goal so I don't want the responsibility of trying to kick this one (despite being free and well within range".

I really don't care how old he is, that was a jaw-droppingly atrocious effort. So diabolical I had to rewind to check I wasn't hallucinating. How we managed to get no score from there just defies belief.
