    BT is intolerable

I missed all of that (which I am thankful for) as I was watching on Foxtel.

You don't often hear the media behave in such a way though - particularly on camera. They could have done something else and had a quiet word with club officials - instead they come off as petulant, whining turds.

Foxtel had multiple, extended interviews with players, so I am not sure what happened there - I could also see other journalists interviewing players in the background. Maybe Channel 7 had just made themselves unwelcome.

I've seen one or two of his post match change rooms interviews and they are really unprofessional.

Would say that x player has declined an interview and then charge up to them to ask a stupid question.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's just a personality issue with Brian rather than an access issue for Ch7

The hate consumes me. The moment when Sam Reid marked the ball literally directly over the boundary line and BT was shouting "come on umpire, where's your whistle, that was a metre over".

A metre! Seriously the guy is biased and totally blind! Why won't the other commentators correct him?

It sounds like the Swans were happy to provide players for interviews, but just didn't want him wandering around willy nilly. His response has been typical BT - whining like a 4 year old that had lollies taken off him.

          BT is a buffoon.

Probably refused access due to his interviewing style which comes across as very amateurish at best. Looks n sounds more like a primary school kid who appears that he's just excited to be in the rooms and talks about the most rediculous things. If it was say Wayne Carey, Dermott Brereton, Sarah Jones or a daisy Pearce they probably get the access because it's handled in a professional manner. I've said it to people a number of times how the hell do we sell this great game to the world when we have clowns like BT commentating our great game. It sounds more n more like WWE every week. Thank f....k I have Foxtel n don't have to listen to ch7 after match drivel.

I didn't see/hear the post game stuff from C7. I had the Fox broadcast recorded so watched their aftermatch when I got home. And nor have I yet had the chance to watch a replay of more than the last few minutes, so can't comment on the commentary throughout the game. But I didn't think there was any anti-Swans bias in the commentary of the end stages of the game, and nor did I get a sense that BT was disappointed that the Swans had won. I thought all the commentators (who individually I do find pretty irritating) were just caught up in the extra drama of the game.

No. Respect is earnt. Most footy commentators have an exaggerated view of their own importance. To be worthy of respect , you have to perform your job respectfully, and competently. The club is quite right to be selective about how and when the players are approached, and by whom, subject to legal agreements. Lance Franklin was interviewed, so Taylor wasn't excluded. I assume the club complies with it's legal obligations, and knows exactly what those are. They don't have to please self important , inarticulate ex-footballers who consistently have criticised the Swans, and particular Swans players, and blatantly and unprofessionally barrack against us in the commentary. It is about time the power balance was returned to a sensible level.

What actually happened? And what did Ch 7/BT actually say in complaint?

I find the commentators often inane - comments like "the Swans will really want to score the next goal now" or "the next 10 minutes will be critical" - or cheerleaderish, especially the 'professional' commentators. The ex-players sometimes add some real insight. As far as I can tell, BT isn't called on for or trusted with serious analysis - he just interviews players after the game by bowling around the change rooms and seeing who he can run into. Of his in-match commentary, the only thing that stays with me is the way he frequently says "here", pronounced "hee-AH", as in "it's a big night tonight hee-AH at the SCG for this Friday night blockbuster" (typical commentator drivel). I actually prefer the NEAFL commentary which, while amateurish and error-strewn at times, limits itself to either describing the play, adding something extra or analysis.

Interesting to see what swans do next week if we win.

I have to admit, I usually find BT inserting his bizarre imaginary conversations between two players in the middle of a run of play fairly funny.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I don't I find it a pain in the ...ss! I couldn't care less that Johnno Smiths brothers uncles girlfriends son owns a f...ken red parrot. He's as unprofessional and unfunny as they come n that says lot when you compare him to fire starter derwayne, basil im 2 minutes behind the play, or Lingy stating the bleeding obvious. As much as I don't like McGuire I'd say if your looking for a benchmark in good commentary listen to him. Apart from Collingwood games. Knows when to raise the tempo unlike BT who just screams at us from his microphone. Does not prattle on about irrelevant garbage. Let's the game unfold in front of us n adds to the game unlike BT who thinks we tune in to listen to his inane comments. I just wish Foxtel still had the option of muting the commentary like they did a number of years ago then I wouldn't have to try n tune out of the commentary like I try to do every Friday night.

While I don't have to give reasons, the fact that I detest BT and his inanity and biases is enough for me to turn off the commentary or switch to another channel. His petulant slur about the Swans depriving their sponsors of air time was particularly distasteful. Channel 7 coverage is pathetic at times and BT the worst.

Anthony Hudson probably the best caller IMO- very professional and not as egotistical. BT wants to be a celebrity and centre of attention all the time.
