If the players aren't sticking to their man and not kicking to a free man then how can the coach be out coached. It's obvious that isn't what Longmire asked from his players, it is the players that are not doing what has been asked of them!

I'm still hopeful for a 2005 semi final reanactment !! Mind you the commentary is just soooo Geelong centric it's making me nauseous. One - at every contest, they have an extra player ready to run off the pack. That's effort.

Two - they've held space all over the ground, we have been sucked in.

Three - some of the usual finals suspects, (Harry, Gary, looking at you) gone missing.

Apart from Jones, McVeigh, Jack, Hannebery and Lloyd the whole team has gone missing. you need to be mentally switched on every week. so far in this game they are not. Half the team have had 6 possessions or less. Just not winning the hard ball.

Our loose man is ineffective so it's a waist. Rampe on Dangerfield affects us 2 fold. Rampe is getting beaten n it takes our run outa defence. Change it up n we're a chance to fight back

Not sure Melican could stop Dangerfield either. Problem is in the middle, ball coming inside fifty too much too often.

Undersized backline means we have key attacking players (Jones, Heeney, Rohan, Reid) flooding back to defend and no options when we do win the ball. Also no options to shift around the match ups.

I want to sub Cunningham for a traffic cone, at least some of the Geelong players might fall over the cone. They're both red maybe the umpies wont notice

I know this won't be well received & likely shouted down, but I actually think we miss Tippett. Naismith not dominating ruck or around ground. Sinclair not either. I personally think Tipp would have taken some of the pressure off Buddy with his physical presence, preventing the double team. Would not have been the difference (from what I've seen thus far) but I just think Buddy is often better when Tippett is there. Don't think Melican would nullify Danger, but he would give more versatility.
