2018 trading, drafting and list management: players and personnel
I read Barrett’s column as implying that the “exodus” of Swans players - Hanners, Rohan and Newman - has all been instigated by the club not the players.

Same here.
It does seem we are pushing players out on decent coin.
We must have a big target in mind, if not this year then next.
Next year there are a lot of GWS players who become free agents
Now if only someone wanted Reid, that would be a relief!
Lloyd on a four year deal is great work, I'm really pleased. I was impressed by Harley's quotes in the story on the AFL site - strong and convincing. Congratulations to him.

You or I could write Sliding Doors. Based on rumour and gossip and involves a fantasy world that some people must fall for.
The over-thinking and propensity to assume heresy and conjecture as fact on this site is quite astounding. Blokes are written off as leaving on the basis of rumour and/or silence. Hate to be in business with many of the experts on here.
Trade week doesn't start for 2 weeks. Besides one Sam Reid is more than enough.
No not sarcastic, I followed a link from here (can't remember which one) which had the comings and goings summarized and was shocked to see GWS Sam Reid listed as a signing?! https://www.zerohanger.com/afl/trade-news-rumours/
I am very happy to read after getting home from dinner that Lloyd has resigned. Great news.
Someone earlier indicated that St Kilda would swap their No 4 pick for Hannebery. In the words of Darryl Kerrigan from the movie, the Castle, “Tell him his dreaming”. Second round pick coming our way at best. Sorry to say that but it’s the reality of Hanners’ current market value.

Looks like whoever compiled the list, may not be aware that there are two Sam Reids. If you click on the name, Sam Reid, on the list, you get a picture of the Sam Reid that we already have.
I like this quote from Tom Harley. I think it's the right way to look at things:
"Our overall mandate is to get better and we do that by providing the best overall environment for our players to thrive, and that will always be our focus."
